Sure hope the spot play guys are right because I make the spread quite a bit more.  Really the only play against my numbers and of course it’s the biggest play.  paint_help

I just got Georgia +3.5 +100, surprised to see it tick up to 4... I guess Texas dominating yesterday is influencing some perception, but I think Oklahoma has been overvalued all season

 What do your numbers have it at? I loved Texas to win this game before the season, but I don’t love it so much right now without their RB Baxter.

"raw numbers" for ATS margin results for to-date games, it's two and a half teams and then a wide gap to the next tier of SEC schools.

Ratings:

Texas - 103.4

Ohio State - 100.0

Oregon - 93.8

Georgia - 91.0

 

Georgia was similar last year about this time of year before going on an ATS margin tear for 3-4 weeks in a row is my recollection.

And you have to be able to adjust for some teams like Georgia.  Obviously the books don't have them this low.  The game after the RRR is usually a letdown spot for Texas, but maybe not this year.  Should be a great game I think.  Georgia needs a win bad though.  2 losses this early in the season would be a lot of pressure every week going forward.  This might be the best two teams in the country here by the time its all said and done.  Hopefully another classic!  an_cheers

I’m a Longhorns die hard and I’ve had Texas winning this game since July, the line was TEX -110 then. Would feel a little better with Baxter in the lineup, and the line is driving me crazy because I can’t bother with the -170 ML and I don’t love Texas covering more than 3 (I’d like 2.5)

Navy +15 -110 (0.75u)  ..... I realize Navy hasn't played anybody (Memphis counts I guess), so call it a homer / value play.  Line closes at what, +12.5 or so!?

I haven't been following the line movement on the big game this week, just noticed that Texas is -5 -110 .....  It's like only robots are betting.  Math guy is driving lines every week.  My "overreaction" math had OSU favored by basically a touchdown last week and I still bet +4.5 and won with Oregon.  Hoping for another similar case.  Should have waited I guess.
