I am staying away from this one but I totally agree. Eric Berry and the Vol secondary will give JPW fits.

The line hasn't dropped it opened at 5.5 and it is 6.5 in most places and 7 in some.

Won't matter when Bama is pounding the ball on the ground behind Andre Smith and their huge O-line.
Also, to everyone who is using reverse-line movement as part of their rationale for taking the Vols because the line is not moving while the public is pouding Bama I would say this: the line movement and scenario for this game are very very similar to the game the Vols played against Florida earlier this year. The line stayed at +7 the entire week for that game with people thinking they were getting trapped with the Gators because the line wasn't moving. And what happened, the Gators blew them away
Although Bama's propensity to fall asleep in second halfs might make me inclined to do some in-game betting and take the Vols 2H I will be on Bama for this one. If you take the Vols at some point whether they cover or not you will be thinking to yourself "how did I ever bet on this team". Huge coaching mismatch here with Fullmer against Saban.

first of all, why don't YOU explain why you think the line has dropped? what do you think the opening line on this game was?
second of all, why don't YOU explain what is telling you that 72% are on Alabama?
this new trend towards reading the public % and the line move has to be draining people's accounts more than any single angle...
1) the line has NOT dropped... the opening line on this game was 5... i know... i saw it the instant it came out...
2) you don't understand how to read those % numbers... 72% does not represent the amount of money on one side... it represents the amount of BETS on one side... so if 72 people have bet an average of $100, and 28 people have bet an average of $1000, then who cares about 72%? (yes, this is the reality of those % numbers... trust me!)
3) you still don't understand... because that 72% ONLY applies to the current number... so if it has already moved from 5 to 7, and then dropped down to 6.5, then you have no idea what % was betting it at 5, 5.5, 6... or then again what % was betting when it was at 7...
people are so freaking simple-minded, it blows me away that they allow themselves to bet... you are doomed to lose money! trust me! just stop betting... you will not win...
you guys are talking about how the defense of Tennessee is gonna give Alabama trouble... you gotta be kidding me! what about the defense of Alabama? because at least Alabama has some effective offensive weapons... Tennessee's offense is a turnover waiting to happen, even against a crappy defense... and the Tide don't have a crappy defense...
prediction... Alabama will score more points on defense then Tennessee scores on offense...
i seem to remember having all of these same conversations when Florida came to town against Tennessee... this will be no different... complete domination by a national title contender, against an SEC doormat... when did Tennessee suddenly become anything other than a joke? what games are you watching? Miss St? who cares!? Georgia? oohhhh... nice bullshit cover against a team that totally dominated the game in every way...
weak ass pick guys... weak!

No probs. I see your point.Just thought they have had some good games at home so far. I agree they are not one of the better teams in the SEC this year but great spot imo. Havn't decided if this is a play yet but good to hear some opinions

This is what I wrote as well. It's shaping up to be very similar with the line movement and some people opinion's on the Vols. Hopefully the result is the same.
