I am a huge Longhorn fan and would love to see them win this weekend! I just dont see that happening! I am not sure that Texas is very good on either side of the ball! They have not shown that they can run the ball at all! Colt is their leading rusher and I dont think that will work here! If he were to get knocked out of this game the Horns are in Big trouble! They do have a decent passing game but they have not played against anyone much less a team that is close to Oklahoma! On defense I think their run defense is ok but I am not impressed with the secondary at all! Every safety on the roster is young and inexperienced! They have had receivers behind them all year! Bradford will take advantage of this! Dont forget OU has a great offensive line! Also the Sooners have played TCU, a pretty tough defense already this year! I think this gives them a huge advantage! Bob Stoops will run it up if he get the chance! This is a huge recruiting game! I love the Sooners here! I dont post much, so take it as you will!

OU has an advantage at every position... SLIGHTLY... that's what makes OU a better team.. and I agree, a good bet. Everygame in the Stoops/Brown era have been won by 7 or more pts... And this series goes in streaks, if you bet on the team that won the year prior, you will usually be in good shape.
I watched Colt for a long time.. He is great,,, when healthy. He is so little, he has a hard time making thru the season with all the banging...
BUT right now he is Healthy... and he can win this game for Texas.
The OU secondary is good.. BUT they, like TX, has not faced the competition that will be on the other side of the field...
Should be a very good game... If both teams play on 8 out of 10 scale, OU wins by double digits... TX needs to play on a 9 scale and have OU play on a 6 or 7....
Also, OU always saves something for this game... OU has struggled running, BUT has been running simple plays between the tackles.. It will be interesting to see if the have been saving some schemes for TX
And TX hasn't used the TE well all year... TX has hurt OU with the TE over the last few years...
Should be a great game... and the Cotton Bowl expanstion is incredible. And while the talent level is slightly in OU's favor, anything can happen when OU/TX get together... But I have to lay my money on OU. Stoops has proven to not only to win, but to cover in this series.

My Opinion it's going to be closer than most people think, keeping in mind The Red River Shootout has been decided by less than 7 points in the last 10 years. Understand also OU has the edge but on the same token OU hasn't seen a defense as good as Texas this year, it will be a shootout. BOL to all

I think that's a BIG Question and agree.. I can only break it down... Muschamp has a proven track record... But TX has not faced 1 top 60 offensive line this year.. Arky, FlaAtl, Utep, and Rice have pathetic O-lines... And CU had 6 O-lineman out who have playing time (2 were starters)... So TX's D has truely not been tested what so ever...
Alternatively, OU's secondary has not fully been tested to see the likes of what Colt brings to the table in regards to passing...
So it should be very very interesting....

This matchup has been decided by 7 or MORE points since 1998. See how you got confused and possibly made the wrong bet?

How have you not been impressed by the secondary? For two freshmen and one sophomore, they have been extremely impressive. AND, check the game film buddy, receivers have not been getting behind them. Besides, with the best D line in the country, Bradford will not be making five step drops to get many chances deep.
This game will be close and it will be under.

I will my worthless opinion just to say I did my part. The only game I watched this year was Rice versus Texas. I think Texas fans are annoying so I was hoping Rice would win. Plus I bet on Rice to cover. Anyway I am telling you play after play Colt would drop back to pass and Rice somehow had all their guys covered. So Colt would just take off for a ton of yards. He kept doing that every other play. I thought to myself if Texas ever plays a good team they should get crushed. If Rice can cover your guys (except the QB) then who can't. Texas running game was fine but whose is not against Rice.
Wait for the line to drop to 6.5 cause you know all the "tea sips" will bet up the horns.

Horns ML! Horns rushing attack is ranked higher than OU's. Points scored pretty even, points allowed also really close. This is one of the best matchups for them and I think Colt is playing his best football. He has become a major double threat, and that really opens up their offense! As long as Greg Davis doesn't fuck it up and get conservative, Texas will win!

Looks like the tea sips came through for me as usual. Only thing worse than Horn fans are Aggie fans. And the only worse than Aggie fans are the actual Aggie football team.

Can texas stop OU big play offense is my question ? How are they against quality teams that feature the passing game?
I am not sure if they have been tested yet. If texas defense can hold their own I think Texas and the under if not your looking at Oklahoma and the over. Does any one have stats or opinions on How texas will handle the Sooners big play offense ????

I am a TEXAS ALUM, and Bradford, and McCoy have almos identical number , with McCoy with 14 tds and 3 picks, Bradford with 11 to 3 picks, and the receivers cost McCoy 2. I believe Texas ,flying under radar as they were helps here, and UBG will sho2w he will be featured back, and bigboy Cody will get 1st down and short yardage TDs, Shipley will be big, and if Texas loses it will not be but byb 3-4! I think Texas wins 38-33.......But what do I know? I know I am up after won week $6650, and I know that aklalso80 pts scored with Ok st, I am thinking unders by 10-=7!! UNDERS
