..........the game no one will be watching outside of the state of Washington.
Watched this line fall & have grabbed the Huskies @ -6..............it appears lots of people have fallen for the Cougs after their upset win vs tOSU. That is a nice win but the Beavs haven't rallied in the 2nd hf of the season like they usually do..........they're simply not as good as in recent years. But, even though they're at home, the Cougs still don't warrant being a single digit dog to the Dawgs. They have a good ats record this year..........a product of some modest improvement coupled with 20-30+ pt spreads all season. They still have a very weak running game & a moderate passing attack.
This game has what it needs to be a good one............one of the teams having a chance for a bowl & the other the chance to ruin their hopes..............& possibly snow..........4pm PST.......Versus.

I agree....have watched the underperforming Dawgs alot this year....but feel they have a shot to pull this one off, just like last two weeks against UCLA and CAL.....Jake still hasn't looked "great", however the team really looked to gel at the end of last weeks game....look for them to stick it to the Cougs this weekend.

Just found this site recently and love the info. Decided to make my first post about my dawgs. I am a homer so take it with a grain of salt.
Washington has figured something out defensively the past few weeks. The games against UCLA and Cal (although both are not very good on offense) have been night and day for this defense. Up front they are getting penetration and seem to have finally figured it out. This defense is young and it looks to me like they needed most of the season to gel.
Jake Locker is as healthy as he has been throughout the year. The offense will need to run due to the weather and incredibly it is the best aspect of the offense. I believe we will see Jake run alot more this weekend like in years past. Bronson and Polk are also one of the better tandems in the Pac 10.
Washington was once a national power and have been fighting to get back to a bowl for some time. This is the one opportunity.
Washington has two rivals. Oregon and Washington State. We all know where Oregon is and Washington really has no say about that right now. What Washington has a say about is making sure they are not behind both in regards to the rivalries.
I believe the Huskies will win this one going away and make a bowl for the first time in a long time. I say this as homer and a capper.
Also, I love the N Ill. play and the Fresno State/Illini over play as well.
More of a pro football guy but 23-25 this year in college.
BOL to everyone!

Im on the dog here.....Wash got their big win last Thursday against UCLA on national TV. Cougs have covered 6/7 and hung tight against Cal and Stanford. Line came out at 7ish most places and was bet down to 6 immediately.

I'd say beating Cal on the road on Saturday was a pretty big win as well..

Mugg, I have to admit that I was committed to WSU plus here at the open, expecting a line in the 10ish range...well, I was out of touch at release and didn't get back home until it was down to 7 across the board -- so I am not playing the game at this point.
My concen with the Huskies is their poor pass defense and think Tuel will have some success -- that said, if the weather is poor I think that helps the Dawgs. IMHO, this is a tough spot for the Dawgs to go on the road and lay 6 points -- I think they have to fight for their lives to come away with a win. I would like nothing better than a repeat of last year's pounding of the Cougs, but just think it will be some tough sledding.
Keeping my fingers crossed...would absolutely LOVE to see them playing in San Diego at the end of the month.....

Washington Huskies -6 Large.... there run game will set the tempo in a cold game.... cougs run defense sucks..... no way locker goes down to a division 2 team of a squad..... oregon state win was a smoke screen.... they already bagged it in.... There is no way the line hits 5.5. It will rise toward gametime...

Everyone here knows that Ore St. had other things on their minds last week, like the "Civil War" this week. Jake has had every opportunity to prove that he's not the reincarnation of Ryan Leaf, and he's failed miserably. I'll be surprised if he goes before the fourth or fifth round this year. Surely a case of a guy who should have left early last year, when he had some value. Not a game for those that are faint of heart, surely N Ill or the Cocks are safer plays, even the Beavers are higher on my list than either one of these two farces. BOL whatever you do.

I felt the same way at 1st........& trust me, I was thinking about this line since Saturday night. But after it dipped below 7 I realized that betting Wazzu would be kind of a sucker bet. The combination of teams sleeping vs them, the 4+ td spreads, & the fact that they were able to stay fairly healthy, they couldn't help but improve & cover some #'s. But they're facing a team as desperate, maybe even more, for another win as they are. We've seen both teams play & there can be no denying that when the Dawgs are clicking they've much more upside than do the Cougs. The smart play may be no play.........but I see an edge in talent for the Huskies & I'm basically betting on them to play well.
This could present a nice dilemma.........I'm heading down to AZ after Xmas to stay with a buddy for a week golf in the sun.........getting there the day of the Insight Bowl so our original plans are to take in the bowl game (already got tix) & then head down to his place in Tucson the next day. So he calls me Saturday night after the game & says " We're goin to San Diego if the Huskies are"..........

did you say "possibly snow ?" I remember watching this game many years ago being played in a blizzard in Pullman when Ryan Leaf was the QB. I think WASU won, but I simply remember it because of the incredible whiteout conditions they played in.
