I definitely feel like I have a clearer view of how this game is going to play out than last night's game. Here's how I look at it.
Without question Oeegon's offense is lethal, especially their running attack. But exactly how lethal is it. They've had success running the ball against Arizona's 107th ranked rushing defense, WSU's 65th, Washington's 66, AZ State's 74, USC's 58. They faced Stanford's 3rd ranked rushing D and lost 17-14. Sure, they crushed Oregon State's 27th ranked rushing D but OSU also had 4 turnovers. Kansas State ranks 2nd in the nation in turnovers lost. Big difference there. Oregon has a Strength of Schedule rating of 39 vs KSU's healthy 14. Coupled with that SOS margin, KSU has the nation's 17th best rushing defense. Bottom line is Oregon has been running all over soft rushing defenses but when it came to a real defense in Stanford's, they didn't do so much. Unfortunately for Oregon, their greatest offensive strength plays right into the hands of KSU's greatest defensive strength, rushing defense. Oregon is averaging 53 rushing attempts per game and 29 passing attempts per game. No secret they will primarily be running again tonight. But they won't find it easy to do so. I look for KSU to have better success on both sides if the ball this evening and even possibly coming away with the win outright.
KANSASSTATE +8
UNDER 74
As always, best of luck on all of your wagers.

Good write-up. Also considering Oregon's QB is a freshman, albeit an outstanding freshman, he will be facing a tough defense that will force turnovers.

Just something to consider: Baylor ran 49 times for 350 yards against them. Also a lot of their wins were by decent margins which indicates that their opponents were forced into a lot of passing, helping keep down that defensive rushing average. I am not saying that their rushing Defense is poor by any means but just offering some food for thought. Best of luck.

Great write up but explain if Kstate defense strength is the rush .. why did baylor run for 345 yards .. and Oregon rushing attack is just as good if not better then Baylor's
Lets not for get that the strength of stanford's defense is they are big and physical ...no way you cant tell me Kstate defense is as big or even close to being that physical ...
