hey guys....in no way am i someoen who could hold a candle to pool,brazil and la among others here..but....i am a redbird alum...and follow this team closely.

illinois state is a solid ball club and this is a HUGE  and i mean huge revenge game. im on the home team for numerous reasons and like that the line is dropping. illy state lost last time out because of look ahead to this game...they also took louisville to the end and almost beat them in louisville...this is a grwat team and they will be ready to play tonight! gl ryno

1) 10+ point dogs in bowls are 29-20-1 59 percent ATS with 16 winning
outright.
 
2) Conference success/failure (ACC losing every BCS bowl) are trends
that have merit.
 
ACC as dogs 69 percent ATS
 
B12 overall ATS 40 percent in 11 years  (should we bet against every B10 team on principle?)
 
Big East dogs cover 42 percent (ditto)
 
P12 dogs cover 69 percent
 
SEC dogs cover 56 percent
 
3) Ignore point spread.
In Bowl Games since 1991, spread came into play 11 percent of time. Just
pick the winner.
 
4) Dogs win more often outright than during the year (7.8 percent more
likely). Dogs cover 54 percent in bowl games. However in January
favorites cover 65 percent (usually smaller lines).
 
Since 2006 all dogs of 6+ pts are 40-29, 58 percent.
 
If spread is 2.5 or less Favorite is very strong play.

5) Bowls tend to have rusty offenses. Totals in the 50.5-59.5 range the
under has hit 64 percent. Overall unders hit 54 percent of the time.

Creighton a tough game. Loads of games on the slate that are better. That's my angle. Sorry I don't have any pertinent information don't want to just make things up.

You realize this is an RAS (yup the people you dissed the other day) play so that is the reason the line has dropped a ton.

As I posted the other day, if you wait for the line to move you get value fading RAS.  He moves the line so much that the value after the line move is on the opposite pick.  If you can get his line, great.  Otherwise I've found it profitable to fade.  At least in last years NCAA tourney.
