i was trying to figure out who to take in this game and i decided to look at the rushing off/def for both teams. not their total rank in rushing defense or offense but the numbers per game these teams put up and the competition they are putting them up against.
oregons D is seceptible to the run. except for games against port; st and new mexico (who are god awful and i didnt even factor into this) the oregon D has given up : 91 Wazzu
177 stanford
182 tenn
210 arizona st
obvioisly wazzu is horrendous aswell. i know ucla's D had been worse and oregon is the best big play team in the country.
but heres UCLA's rushing stats(up until last week was 10th in the country. so what did CAL do to hold them up?) : Kstate 193
Wazzu 437
Texas 264
Houston 266
Stanford 177
CAL 26???
im dont get what happened in the Cal game. hopefully CalBear reads this and fills me in on the defensive scheme. My point is that UCLA can run and running takes time off the clock. Hell, running is all they can do. they have a superior Oline to Oregons Dline as far as size and i think this becomes a running clock game. My bet is based on the fact i think UCLA can put up 21 at least. this forces Oregon to score 46 to push at the line I have. And i know oregon can score fast. but if UCLA is taking chunks off the clock and forcing the ducks to play D i think this line will be hard to cover. Thats my personal opinion. In no way do i think UCLA has a chnace to win but i do think they have a good shot at 25. so UCLA +25

Love the way your thinking here. the dogs are the way to go lately and if at worst I can see a backdoor cover.

"9" in the box to stop the run early. UCLA has a horrible passing game. Almost the worst in the nation.
Oregon 48-59 (they will score at LEAST 6 TD's + 1-2 FG's) UCLA 10-17 <<< best case scenario (1 TD Rushing, 1 FG, 1 fluke TD from defense or an additional rush TD in garbage time)
more details on my thread. ;P

9? so corners will be by themselves?i dont know a coach in the country that will leave two 21 yr old corners by themselves on a field with zero help. oregon doesnt have darrelle revis and asomugha. i think 8 is the number you are talking about. read your thread tho. we have a differing opinion on this one. Its called "CONTAINMENT" dont let the QB get to the edge.... Prince (who may not even start) is not a mobile QB hes got descent speed but not ideally for the Pistol Offense.... UCLA is still transitioning into this style of offense and don't have the right players to run it yet...
The only thing that scares me is that OREGON plays USC nxt dwn in LA and this may be a Look Ahead spot... I think OREGON will win the game but idk if they will cover the number... this is a game time desicion with me but i definantly am leaning OREGON...
BOL to u on your other plays

Oregon only allows 3.5 yards per carry. If Prince doesn't play UCLA will be very one dimensional and have a hard time moving the ball. Oregon will run and pass on UCLA and it could get ugly in the second half when their defense gets worn out from being on the field all night. And they won't let up with what's at stake for them. This could easily be 52 to 17.

2teamparlay- i understand containment but neither UCLA qb is a running threat. kinda like when Florida runs the zone read with Brantley HAHA. no threat. also agree 100% Oregon is in a let down position. Im a USC fan myself and i think Trojans beat them outright next week. but none the less good luck tom night

Guys don't over think this. Oregon Covers easily. Thursday night game at Autzen with #1 ranking online. Chip Kelly has been grilling these guys all week to stay focused on the team ahead plus OSU and BAMA have been great examples on what happens if you look ahead.
Oregon smashes UCLA 48 - 10.
Also if the ducks are injury free the following week they beat USC 48 - 21. USC is garbage and Kiffin is a joke. The real challenge is when Arizona comes to town.

Check the weather as well. 60 percent rain tomorrow night as well. May factor into total and side. If it goes to 27 may buy it to 28 and feel pretty good about it. Under looks pretty good even with out rain.

Just checked my line and we now have 25.5 and rising
This is a classic non-cover situation by the new #1 team. I don't think they will lose but Oregon is not playing New Mexico. UCLA has incredible cover numbers of being a double digit dog off a bye week.

i understand your logic about playing man on the corners, but UCLA's leading receiver (he has 100 something yards....for the whole season) will not play tomorrow. And their leading punt/kick off returner will also not play (will start with bad field position the whole night). UCLA ranks 114th in passing offense (with their starting QB, who is questionable for tomorrow's game).
So the only way I see them scoring is: on the ground against a stacked box, a pick 6, or a fluke TD in garbage time. Best case scenario, they score 17 points.
I see Oregon scoring like in the video games. They will score TD's at will.

Someone please read this fucking square's opinions from last week please.
They make me sick.
Going on results, your opinions are terrible.
Hey asshole, you tried to start a fight with me in another thread, and I shot you down soundly. Do you really want a repeat performance? Shut your pie hole, or maybe you want another thread and audience to witness the FACT that you don't know a damn thing, and have no point to make?
your call...
