Not much of a move there. A Td covers both. They do have one hell of a qb in Chucky Keaton and UT brings back the same old tired qb Worley who seems to have been there foe a decade. However, USU only brings back 3/5 starters.

Chuckie will be the best player on the field and certainly will not be intimidated playing in Knoxville. His first game as a true freshmen playing at defending champion Auburn would have been a win if not for two late touchdowns the last one set up after recovering an onsides kick.

Yes take the points .. I am from Knox and goto alot of UT games.. They sell the people in this town every year how good they are going to be , but they never are , because they cant recruit for garbage... I would take the points all day.. The vols are never great , and I like getting the 6 against the Vols.. They sell a dream every year to the people of Knoxville and they buy into it every year.. Go Utah!!!

I follow Tenn. they're my team here's some info on em
Start off with second year of Butch Jones system. Same assistants for second consecutive yr. That hasn't happened in Knoxville for a good while. Jones very successful wherever he's coached. Guy runs the program like it's the military. Very keen on discipline and out willing the opponent. His teams run the ball very well and that continued last yr with marginal talent.
No player on last year's team squat more than 600lbs. This yrs team has a dozen who squat 600+. Returning qb Worley has drawn high praise all off season and is expected to perform at a high level in second yr of system (P Manning around a lot and working with Worley) Top rbs are Lane Sr and 5*truefresh Hurd. Lane was a hs 5* until knee injury. Lane stayed in Knox over Xmas for 1st time in career and has reportedly become a new person under guidance of Jones. Nothing but good reports and praise for Lane. Hurd is a freak, works out with the lineman and everyone will know his name soon. 3rd rb is change of pace veteran Young. Small shifty back
Oline is unproven with a rssr walk on at LT, true fresh at rg( although he has been arguably the star newcomer at camp), veterans everywhere else on the line and they go 7-8 deep. This group isn't as experienced and proven as last yr but fits the scheme much better
WRs are all the talk. Best is North(soph 6'4 220 #1 player in NC out of high school. Hands down no 1 WR target. Vols lost to Vandy last yr with North getting hurt in that game. Wr Howard is key part of offense at slot. Has a lot of plays drawn up to him as running plays and reverses. Kid is dynamic. Also no 1 juco wr early enrollee Pearson6'3 185 He has received enormous praise and will start game 1 and be a major factor. Add in the no 1 receiver in TN 5* Malone 6'3 205 who may end up being the best one out of all of them. Vols also have great depth at wr with jr Croom 6'5 240 soph Smith 6'1 200. WRs are the top unit on this team no doubt
Special teams replacing punter and kicker but replacing with vets. Jones focuses heavily on spteams but it's an unknown
Dline has ?s but has solid talent in Saulsberry 6'4300 jr and Obrien 6'2 285. Defense played without its best player last yr in jr Maggitt LB/DE 6'4 250. Leader of team and athletic freak. DE Vereen soph 6'2 255 has relentless motor and should cause havoc for anyone. Vols have a fresh dlineman who has come on huge and will play immediately. LBs will be strength of D with preseason all american Johnson and soph Reeves Maybin. Also have a super talented true fresh lb coming on strong.
Secondary should be much improved with depth that is night/day difference from last yr. Secondary will be aggressive & will bring a lot more talent to the field than last yr. Def team speed is much better than last yrs also
For Utah St game
There is tremendous respect for aggies in the vol program and they are obviously not over looking them. I think the first game will very competitive and if I put money on it i'd take the +6. If they played in November it'd be different because Tenn has more talent and should be developed by then But right now I see this as a grind it out close game that the vols win like 27-24ish with the big factor being a Neyland night game and the Vols willing themselves to a W.

Pretty uninformed post if you actually live in Knoxville. Top 5 class last year...that good enough recruiting for you?
USU is relying on a QB that is less than a year off of an ACL/MCL tear and returns the least amount of players in the FBS.

Does Utah State bring back a lot of starters or something? any NFL prospects?
Line move from 6.5 to 6
UT ST only brings back 11 starters I believe. But out of those 11, I want to say that 10 of them are seniors(that doesn't include the senior kicker and senior punter). The Vols don't have a single returning starter on either side of the line! The line is staying low because ,outside of AJ Johnson, the core of this team is extremely green. CB Justin Coleman should have a coming out party this year. Lane could have been one of the elite backs in the SEC going into his senior year, but it will take some time for that OL to gel.On the other side,Chuckie is a gamer and should find a way to keep them hanging around in this one.Tenn will definitely have their hands full with Keaton and Joe Hill. I could see this one being a 4 point game and going either way. I did tease UT ST and U 51.5 in this one. Each team just has too many question marks and inexperience in the trenches for me to see a clear value here.
