You have a lot of reading to do, but this will get you caught up.  Most people can't even begin to imagine how deep this rabbit hole goes.  As I have been saying on this board for a couple of months now, this will take some time, but in the end this will be the largest cheating scandal in collegiate sports history.  The Cam Newton story that everyone has been so focused on will be nothing but a footnote in this story.

Just one of the many reasons why I have the SEC ranked below some other superior conferences.

    I see the AUBsesion continues.

The Auburn coaches are so worried that the entire staff stayed at AU for the 3rd straight season.  One assistant turned down a head coaching job in the SEC, another turned down assistant head coach/OL at Texas.

Auburn is not under investigation but the other state school remains on probation until 2014 and the bama fans will invent, say or believe anything about AU if it makes them feel better.

And looking at the last 30 years, which is when Paul Bryant retired, you can understand why:

    National Titles since 1981
    Auburn: 1 (2010)
    Alabama: 2 (1992, 2009)

    SEC Titles since 1981
    Auburn: 6 (1983, 1987, 1988, 1989, 2004, 2010)
    Alabama: 5 (1981, 1989, 1992, 1999, 2009)

    Undefeated Seasons
    Auburn: 3 (1993, 2004, 2010)
    Alabama: 2 (1992, 2009)

    Iron Bowl Wins
    Auburn: 17 (1982, 1983 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1993, 1995, 1997, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010)
    Alabama: 13 (1981, 1984, 1985, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2008, 2009)

    Wins since 1981
    Auburn: 254 (11 nationally)
    Alabama: 226 (22nd nationally)

    SEC Wins Since 1981
    Auburn: 141
    Alabama: 129

    Bowls Since 1981
    Auburn: 22 (15-6-1)
    Alabama: 19 (12-7)

    Heisman Trophy Winners since 1981
    Auburn: 2
    Alabama: 1

    Oh and let's not forget...
    NCAA Probations since 1981
    Auburn: 1
    Alabama: 3

DU4L, I personally believe that in addition to getting full-ride scholarships, all college athletes should be entitled to a moderate stipend for their services - especially college football players.  I think the failure to do so is nothing short of exploitation of usually poor kids by the wealthy elite for their personal enrichment.  Having said that, unfortunately those are not the rules under which collegiate athletics is governed in this day and age.

I have no doubt that most major (and successful) college football programs bend the rules a bit (particularly in the ultra competitive SEC), but no program that I'm aware of comes close to the depth and sophistication of corruption that has been going on at the Plains for decades.  When a vast array of governmental alaphabet organizations take notice of Auburn's activities, and people are being indicted and going to jail, that's taking cheating to a whole new level.  Ex-Auburn coach Terry Bowden warned the college football world of the depth of cheating going on at Auburn back in 2001, but was ignored.

I love the in-state Alabama/Auburn rivalry, and have never been an Auburn "hater" per se.  But unfortunately the ongoing investigations could very well lead to Auburn being bumped out of the SEC entirely.  Auburn has been on the verge of losing its SACS accreditation in the past, and when this blows up, they probably will this time.  If so, Auburn will be the equivalent in stature to a community college.  I hope this doesn't happen, but I will not be surprised if it does.

The one potential saving grace for Auburn is that they are a state college, and I could see where the new governor could somehow step in and save Auburn's accreditation.  If Auburn does lose their SACS accreditation, it would really be a disaster for the state of Alabama.  As I have said, I hope this is not the end result of this sorid affair, but right now that's exactly where this looks like it's headed.

Lastly, it looks as though the FBI will be knocking on some doors tomorrow morning (Monday January 31st).  It appears they will be issuing another 25-30 indictments in this case.

    Stay tuned.

You are trying to spin this like Auburn is doing the same thing Alabama did when Logan Young was found guilty in federal court for money laundering to buy players for Alabama.

I will be glad when signing day is over so the AUBsessed bama fans can rest.  You guys must be very tired of trying to get people to look the other way.

Auburn recruits are putting NICK WHO on their caps, what a joke. You know they are worried about Alabama...lol.

That just shows people how low Auburn is, has anybody ever seen another college team put another coach's name on their caps on recruiting day.

Low blows, on Alabama and Nick & company will make them pay, looks like another 4 decades before they win another NCG.

I'm not spinning anything.  I posted a link.  The picture the link paints in no way resembles the Logan Young case.

Maybe you can get the FBI and a plethera of other alaphabet governmental organizations investigating Auburn to look the other way.

I'm glad to see that Calloway came back, but Cyrus Kouandjio was the only one I really cared about.today.

Personally, if I was Calloway I would not have gone to Bama because I think he'll have a very hard time getting on the field.  Like BJ Scott, he is really a man without a true position.  I think his best shot of seeing the field at Bama will be at safety.  While there is no doubt he is a terrific athlete, I think, due to not having a true position, he is a bit overrated as a recruit.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to get him, but I just don't think he really significantly improves Bama's roster.

Maybe, Kouandjio is having second thoughts about coming to Alabama now, Jadeveon Clowney would be a great fit at Alabama with Nick Saban being a defensive man.

Looks like Clemson is where he could go, Clemson is home state just as much as South Carolina.

Your claims of inside information from the FBI has shown you for what you are.  Just like your claims that Cam wouldn't play vs UGA or ever again lol.  You can keep making claims that AU is under investigation but that doesn't make it true.  Just makes you consistently wrong and foolish.

The fact that the AU coaches ALL stayed with Auburn should tell you that there is no issues.  But you just keep on being AUBsessed.  Or maybe you are just very gullible and read the bama boards/blogs way to much.  Either way  when you post these silly accusations as fact then you deserve the criticism.

I have never claimed to have any "inside" information on the FBI.  In fact I absolutely reject such a notion.  Like other things which you attempt to atrribute to me that are not true, this is just another one of your personal inventions.

While it is true that I have two friends who are FBI agents, I have never asked or discussed the details of any investigations they may be involved in, and even if I did, I doubt very seriously they would tell me.  My guess is that they value their jobs more than that.

I did say that my sources from within Auburn's own athletic department, as well as two other sources, said Cam would not play against Georgia, and I posted that to help benefit people on the board who were considering wagering on the game.  I never said he would never play "ever again."

The information from my source within the Auburn athletic department was accurate at the time he gave it to me, but word is that Bobby Lowder intervened and overruled not only the athletic department, but the President of AU himself.  That is why there was literally updates every 10 minutes on ESPN and CBS as to Cam's playing status versus Georgia on the day of the game.  If there were nothing to this story, why the hyper coverage on whether Cam was going to play or not?

I seriously doubt the FBI's investigation will be swayed by the fact that Auburn was able to keep their coaching staff in tact.  One has absolutely nothing to do with the other.

I have not posted any personal opinion in this matter or posted any accustions whatsoever.  All I did was post a link and let readers render their own conclusions from the linked story.

I have, however, predicted that when all of the investigations have run their course (and that will take a while) I believe this will end up being the largest cheating scandal in collegiate sports history.

I believe you have a hater Jimmy, i would not explain myself to him he has been chasing you're post trying to pick a fight for a while now.

Just a Auburn fan taking his hate into the off season, Auburn still sucks even if they did win (1) National Championship game in the last 4 decades.
