WG - much appreciated my friend, great seeing you back...here's to large profits this season and BOL
BP - thanks bud...BOL this season
for new cappers interested in background...started in '85...school of hard knocks in the first 10 years mostly losing with bookie, inexperienced, no lines until Sat am, less info online, etc...although we didn't have much to wager back then so it worked out....mostly learned originally reading gold sheet and pointwise....still read g.s. and use their power ratings to project lines....then we got a feel for capping and profitable 21 of the last 23 seasons in CFB .....19 of 23 in CBB.......solid CFB season would be around 120-90....lean 60-70% chalk and under, just what's worked for our case....enough about all that....update Miss St play was actually 1 unit....added a few to possibly wrap up the sides...scores and thoughts later....checking out 1-2 totals or write in games when available....
Va Tech -2.5 (1)
Toledo +14 (-115) (0.75)
Notre Dame -19 (0.75)
Akron +16 (0.75)

Hey Nos, glad to see you're still one of the first in line.
Love VT & ND. I guess we all have to auto-bet Auburn vs a P12 school...Like Toledo...Kentucky always wins that first game a few points less than the line.
Are you looking at Virginia? I hate what Mendenhall is doing down there...Syracuse is trying to get recruits out of the DMV (DC MD, VA for anyone not in the area) and he's making that tougher with his success. We lose enough recruits to MD and VT! But...if I can win a few bucks on them in week 1 - all is forgiven.

Nice post...you are a Cuse homer...do you think they will cover at Liberty? The line seems a bit low...Do you have any concerns about Cuse covering the chalk at Liberty?

I think Coach Freeze can get his system in place pretty quick. Game 1, though...might be too quick. I like Syr to cover. The -17' looks like a big spread, but it's easier for the better team to cover a larger spread when both teams are going Ludicrous Speed. Syr proved last year they can win the true road game: crushed BC and WF.
Liberty might be a monster someday...good coaching, the university pours money into the program, recruiting way above their pay grade...but not yet. As always...nothing is easy...Liberty could get 2 or 3 late scores and backdoor the thing...
I don't play as many games as I used to...tough transition...I looked in the mirror back in 2017 and realized I'm no Nostradamus. So I had to give up and cut back. Syr game isn't one of my top 3-5 plays yet. (On Auburn, might add WF & ND...maybe VA....most likely bet the first half of Alabama if it's under 17'. (Meh...it won't be.) That damn NW+6' is making me feel like a moth looking a flame...but I think I can resist.
Although now that I read the Syr writeup...I might have talked myself into putting some $$ on the home team.

How the heck is ohio state only -26.5 at home against Florida Atlantic. Ohio state gets no respect here. The Buckeyes are already showing signs of weakness with a new coach that has no experience and was signed as a head coach because the athletic director was to weak to sign someone from outside the program. He said he didnt want any more problems. Football expert phil steel has michigan going to the playoffs this year. I could honestly see this happen since Harbaugh has his job on the line. Always bet on the coach who is about to lose his job. Bet on the coach to improve the record or atleast win some point spreads if they are the underdog. That can be a cash cow if you find the right spots to bet.

Like your card so far! I am considering a parlay of Clemson -21.5/Bama -21 1st Half. I figure Clemson will score most points in 1st half then take the foot of the gas and expect Bama to dismantle a Duke team that seems to be taking a step back. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance... Hammer
