2-2 last week, could have been worse. There are a handful of plays that I feel ok about and a few where I will wait closer to kick off to see if I can get a better number.
A lot of chalk, I know. I just cant see hoping someone can cover 35+ like Rice, E Carolina or Nevada. Nebraska and Colorado are interesting but Im a believer that a program needs to be torn down before its built back up. Sure, the transfer portal had made these turnarounds faster but I need to see something first before I get on the bandwagon.
North Carolina -2.5
A very experienced team with a talented QB. The defensive backfield concerns me but I think Spencer Ratler is trash anyway. Tar Heels in Charlotte
UW Huskies -14
Over might be the better bet here as Boise has an experienced offense as well. I feel like UW could take command of this game and needs to keep the broncos from coming through the back door. UW QB + WRs are elite.
Louisville -7
Feel good story here. Brohm returns to his alma matter and takes advantage of ACC bottom feeder GT. Kinda hypocritical from my statement of 1st year coaches tearing down their program.
San Jose St +16.5
I have to have at least one underdog. Although i missed out on 17, i'll take the points. We knew SJS's offense was legit before the USC game. Having faced live action last week should be an advantage and I hope that experience translates to another cover vs a PAC12 team
LSU -2.5
This is a pretty evenly matched game and I am a sucker for getting involved. Although FSU grades higher at most positions I cant help but get on board with Brian Kelly. Did he learn anything from last seasons collapse?
Other games Im evaluating
Nebraska +7.5 total degenerate play for Thursday night action
Fresno St +3.5 Purdue should be terrible this year
Virginia +28 The defense is underrated and I would think Tennessee would need some experience to regroup from Hooker/Hyatt departure
Wyoming +14 I like their Defense, just not vs Texas Tech QBs
