Going 6-6 this past week. Meh....

    Few Notes:

I have no idea how Florida won that game yesterday. Man did they look bad. How was Vandy in that game? I think the Vandy QB completed 3 passes all day... . It has to be the tough SEC defense tho, well I guess if you consider that you would have to consider Houston having no problem whipping Vandy the week before 34-0...but none of that matters.

I bet the Nebraska game yesterday simply on experience. I never make a bet on something like that. But I did yesterday only because the line was just waaaayyy off. Like I said, I don't suggest people do that, but I just rolled the dice and did yesterday.

Clemson didn't cover yesterday. They played their worst game of the year last night and still did a few things. They won by 10 points. They still gained over 500yds of offense, they still held there opponent to barely over 300 yds of offense...and if you take away the long run to start the game ( which you can't )...Clemson basically shut them down. I think they played a little tight last night and losing there starting RG to start the game hurt. But overall it was ok.... They didn't play well and they know that but Clemson can beat you on so many levels and that's what makes them one of the best teams in the country.

I really had a hard time watching the LSU/ Bama game last night. Those CBS guys were just drooling over them consistently repeating SEC SEC SEC.. It was disgusting. LSU played awful and if you ask any LSU fan they would say the same. LSU simply has no QB and what have I said time and time again? If you dont have a QB, you're not any good. I still think LSU has a good overall team they just dont have a QB. Alabama has a marginal QB. Coker isn't anything special he is average at best. Look, here is the bottom line.....Alabama is a good team, but nothing special. I just dont see anything about them that makes them special. I think they will get exposed AGAIN come the post season. If they were to play Clemson, Baylor or Ohio st... I think they get smacked.

I'm getting a little pissed and will be focused MORE than ever this week. I WILL destroy the books in week 11, get ready!

    My Top 10

    1. Clemson
    2. Ohio st
    3. Baylor
    4. Notre Dame
    5. Oklahoma st
    6. Iowa
    7. Alabama
    8. Oklahoma
    9. Stanford
    10. TCU / LSU

Boom......congrats on a great win for Clemson. They certainly didn't play their A game, but found a way to win. That's what teams do on title runs......find ways to win games when they're not on tilt. I don't know that Clemson will win the championship, but I will be wary of betting against them.

As far as LSU goes, you hit the nail on the head. You left out that our coaches shat the bed in every way shape and form, but why overstate the obvious?

Back to back delay of game penalties? Are you fukkking kidding me? I watched and it wasn't all Harris. They were waiting to get the play in.

    Unbelievable!

BOL the rest of the way with the book and the purple and orange.

MAY this be your Best week to date ...

Gotta Laugh that you have IOWA ranked above Alabama ... I understand you hate the SEC , but that's just silly ...

Nice Win for CLEMSON ,  Wish I would have put more than $73 on the National Championship Future at 33-1 ....   Do you have any concerns they Lose to either SOUTH CAROLINA OR NORTH CAROLINA ????

    My Top 10

    1. Clemson
    2. Ohio st
    3. Baylor
    4. Notre Dame
    5. Oklahoma st
    6. Iowa
    7. Alabama
    8. Oklahoma
    9. Stanford
    10. TCU / LSU

Not an Alabama supporter at all. I actually call them a bully team that is great when everything is going to right but can't deal with adversity. Was surprised that they came back to beat Tennessee. But there's no way in hell they would ever get smacked by Baylor, which is still an awful defensive team. Bears wouldn't be able to deal with the Tide's running game at all.  Don't think Baylor would be able to deal with Clemson and a few others, either. Really interested to see how they fair against Oklahoma this week.

The flash with Baylor's offense is nice and all but games are won in the trenches and that's where they would get mauled.  Same thing with Oregon in the past. Get into a physical game, smack them in the mouth and it's a different ballgame. Hence, the reason they would struggle with Stanford every single year.  National title game last season also was easy to see coming.  I'll take power over flash every single time.

Watched the entire Florida game. All I can say is Wow! Probably one of the worst offensive games I've witnessed. Give McElwain time though. He's a good coach. If I was voting in this joke system, Gators drop five spots even though they won.

Best of luck with your picks.

Iowa is a good football team. Having them ranked a ahead of Bama is NOT silly.... again, we have to stop assuming Alabama is the greatest team in the country cause they're not.....When Bama has to play OOC last few years in bowl games etc.... they get smacked.

you're right.... bama would run the ball all over Baylor. But they would not stop a healthy Baylor team...NOT A CHANCE. Baylor would score 40+ points on them easily....would Bama match them? It would be a shoot out. But dont think for one second that bama could slow them down.

Yep... Clemson played about a C+ / B- game.... Look for them to blow Syracuse out this week

That Florida game was rough.  I watched the entire game (except for the first td pass that got called back) and that was a team and coaching staff that assumed the win and coasted into that game.  Mental mistakes, turnovers galore, very questionable play calling, it was awful.  Thank goodness Vandy doesn't have an offense or that would have been an azz whooping.  I mean Vandy does have a very good defense but that's still no excuse, I'm not sure there is ANY excuse to beat Vandy 9-7 lol.  I really like McElwain, but I think most of that disaster yesterday falls on him.

I don't really know why everybody is surprised, excited or whatever by Alabama's win.  The announcers said it multiple times last night without even meaning too.  Alabama is built to stop an offense like LSU, power run heavy with mediocre play action ability.  I had hope LSU would do it, but there was no real shock that they shut em down.... Alabama still struggles win zone read and a mobile qb, nothing has changed.  Alabama fans should be thanking the committee for hating on the big 12 so much.  Who knows if they put a team from that conference in this year again.  That would be the second biggest gift Alabama could get, leaving out another spread offense team.

If you watched Baylor the other night, not the same offense with the freshman QB. He's not nearly the threat on the ground that Russell was.  Did have a fine game, though.  I may be mistaken but I believe the Bears scored a total of 10 points in the 2nd half against Kansas State.  Tough to find a rhythm when you're not on the field. That's exactly what would happen to that team if they ever get in with an Alabama or Ohio State.

Love the attitude you show Boom_Boom!

I disagree with you about Baylor as there defense is .......  Several of the top teams in the country can embarrass them.

Baylor is overrated, IMO. Especially with the all-world fresh QB. Until these high octane offense with ok defenses start winning titles I will stick with teams that have legit D's. Similar to Oregon under Kelly, when they play a strong defense that can match their speed they don't perform well.

    Again, my opinion.

keep up the good work and Boom and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both Baylor and Clemson, not having Russell hurts Baylor but people are overreacting to their performance on the road this past week, they have 4 guys on that d line will be in the NFL in next two years, they can stop a standard running attack, it's the read option that gives them fits and vertical passing attack, this team isn't soft like those finesse oregon teams were, they are way more physical, I only pray they get into the playoff so they can prove people wrong

they certainlly won't look great trying to stop those Big12 offenses on the road

the Florida game was expected even after Houston blew out Vandy, if Florida is top 10 team then Houston has to be better than 25, that Florida team will get worked by FSU and beat in the SEC championship game giving Bama a layup to the playoff, they post zero threat offensively to anyone, I'm still shocked Bama is in top 4, now they have a HOME LOSS to a 3 LOSS team   if that's top 4 worthy this early on then it could get scary

fun time of year to see it all play out, congrats on your team winning, they looked really tight and nervous & FSU has crazy good athletes, I think FSU is going to be tough to finish the year and shouldn't lose again, I love Cook, he's a beast

Ohio St didn't look good once again but you know Urban will have JT back in there this week, no way he chances his team losing a game from a DUI, what college kid isn't getting hammered or high in 2015?  I don't give him a pass but knowing Urban, he basically will

I call it like I see it. I've played and coached in college. I dont really understand what people do not see with this Alabama team. Yes they have flaws, but that front 7 is perhaps the best front 7 in the history of college football. LSU did not have a bad game they were completely shut down . The anointed Heisman Winner who could not be stopped was shut down. That was a piece of Art coming from a former d coordinator. What I will say is #24 played a terrible game. I would have went at him more then LSU did. When I think Of Alabama I think of Kentucky in basketball. Constantly shipping a high% of their core to the pros. Then taking a while to get it together. Once they do the "potential " is unreal. Notice I say potential because sometimes it just does not work out. These are 17-21 year old kids not pros. To have Alabama behind IOWA is probably with all due respect the most puzzling thing I have seen on this form all year. I understand people hate them, but I think everyone will also find out in January this is clearly the best team in the country. Again just my opinion ... Not stating I cant be wrong.. But I watch 20 games on a Saturday I have not seen a dominant performance like that by any defense all year. If someone did please let me know who that was
    Good Luck to all

Guys I agree Baylor's defense isn't great.... but like Wahoo said, they are going up against big 12 offenses.... thats a big deal

If Baylor had Russell, I think they are the best team in the country. But they dont so that's why I Clemson #1.

and yes Double.... I would take Clemson vs Bama.
