5 - 5 Week. I personally thought this was hands down the hardest card all year.



                                             Ten Thing We Learned


1. I speak for myself and the entire college football world when I say... Hey Auburn, How's it feel? That golden horseshoe has been up their assess so long I thought it was permanently attached. If the committee has the balls they should drop them at least to 13th. I have been saying for months that one of the rules the committee should stand by is, if you lose @ home and you're a huge favorite, you should essentially be out of the conversation for a championship. If anything else didn't happen yesterday and your team got beat or even someone ran over your cat smile and rejoice. Ding dong the witch is dead.

2. I'm not gonna get hung up on the committee but I will say that I find it funny when they keep teams like Oklahoma in the polls. What happen yesterday was a absolute wood shedding. What's even more strange is the fact they have kept Baylor a one loss team behind a two loss team like Old Piss. Again, I have no beef with Old Piss, I just can't for the life of me understand how you could have them ranked above Baylor. The odd thing is now you will see Baylor ahead of them, but not by much. I don't like the human element of this thing and no matter what ANYONE says, we all have vested interests in life...in everything we do, So this notion of we will be justice and honorable is garbage. I approve this message.

3. Will TCU jump ahead of Alabama in the polls? This is gonna be a big debate this week and if you go off the resume. I think TCU should. I would love to see TCU run the table, but let's pump the brakes here. TCU has one loss, Baylor has one loss and BEAT TCU.... So, Baylor should be ahead right? Wrong, the honorable and justice committee won't see it that way. Boykin IMO and Petty are both playing out of their minds, should be a great finish.

4. Bless your soul if you sat and watched the Michigan / Northwestern game yesterday. Goodness are those 2 bad football teams. Michigan is gonna get rocked by Ohio st in a few weeks and will be the icing on the cake for Hoke. I like Fitzgerald but at some point he is gonna have to step it back up as well. Northwestern has been awful for 2 seasons and starting to look like the old days.

5. Golson has turned into a turnover machine. This guy is flat out killing his football team right now. At least we don't have to listen to anymore of this garbage about N.D being in the playoff. Brian Kelley is a good coach IMO. Not great, but good. At what point does he pull this turnover machine? I would love to see the back up Malik Zaire get his shot....

6. For weeks I think we have been seeing it coming. What? The Sparty defense imploding. This defense just got absolutely shredded last night. Sparty finally has offense, but this defense is not good. Sparty is out now and Ohio st is in. So what happens to the big ten if Ohio st trips up again? Oh im sorry, Ohio st doesn't play another ranked team for 3.5 years. Congrats boys....the red carpet has been rolled out for ya.

7. Man do I feel for the LSU kicker. How do you do that? On a side note, It wouldn't have surprised me if Les instructed him to do it. JK guys, don't get upset...it's just a jab at Les, it's just a joke. Why do I feel like fans from Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina, Arkansas and Vandy are gonna come in and attack me? But seriously....LSU finds away to lose to Alabama, AGAIN. Sorry boys the Alabama rules wasn't in effect....The Les Miles rule was.

8. At what point do we start talking about Duke being a good football team? Seriously? I just can't, I don't know why....maybe it's because of the history and all but I do know one thing. David Cutcliffe has done one heck of a job. This guy continues to do great with nothing. Almost Snyder like. Looks like Duke can win the coastal again.

9. Are we starting to see life from Texas? I told you guys at the beginning of the season to be patient with Mr. Strong, he would get this thing right. Texas is not good, but they are improving and by next season I think Texas will have an toughness once again. I know Texas fans have waited a long time.... But the light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer and closer.

10. Not a ton left to say as the week comes to a close. Keep your head up and enjoy this, it's almost over....and remember. The Best is yet to come.

Couldn't agree more. Might have been the worst coached team that played yesterday.
Not much sense in continuously blitzing Petty if your DB's are going to play 10 yards off the wideouts and allow short pass after short pass to be completed in front of you. And Trevor Knight....let's not get started on him....as has been stated many times, he's the worst passing QB that Stoops has ever had. I never in my life thought I'd say it, but I miss Laundry Jones. Agree with about everything you said....could be interesting if Auburn beats Alabama and Mississippi State loses to Alabama and Ole Piss.  Could it be.....or should it be then.....that no SEC teams make the playoff?

yeah.... as you know, I'm not taking a shot at your boys by any means.... just kind of pointing out the fact that the committee has no business making these rankings then you or I.

It looks like Florida State, Baylor, TCU, Ohio State, and Oregon or Arizona State should all win out and will have one or fewer losses. If a two loss SEC team were to get in ahead of one of them, are we any better off than we were with the BCS? I'm just posing questions because I believe that several SEC teams would be favored over some of these teams, but what is the solution? Maybe giving preference to conference winners is one thing.....either way, when the 4 are chosen,  there will be as much bitching this year as there was when the BCS did their thing. As long as you have the human element involved in the selection process, these issues will always remain.

Boom i wanna bring up Michigan-Northwestern. I watched a little of the game and basically it was a battle of 2 disgraces and Michigan was a tad less disgraceful

I don't know about that... I hear people saying that all the time and to me that is nonsense... All FSU does is win, that's it. They win plain and simple.... call it whatever you like or the schedule or this or that... But they win PERIOD.

For what it's worth... FSU wouldnt lose to Texas A&M or teams like that.

Crab legs is a disgrace... but he IS a helll of a football player.

thanks for the props on Texas..   we have been inconsistent this season.   yesterday was a solid win.   now we need to tcb at Oklahoma St, to qualify for a bowl.    I think we will lose handily to TCU (it will be their last chance to impress, since the Big 12 does not have a C Game).    I think our D will play well for 2 quarters, but our Achilles Heal QB Tyrone Swoopes will respond poorly to blitz packages, and TCU will comfortably beat us by DDs.    The main thing for Texas is to get to a bowl, so we can have an extra month of practice.   There were a lot of elite recruits in Austin for the win over WVU.   I think you will see Texas move up the recruiting rankings near term.   Strong will never be as good as Mack Brown in the recruiting rankings, because he does not care about the rankings now (as some of these guys peak in HS).   He is looking for guys that fit the mentality of his program.   He will coach them up and eventually make them champions.     The Longhorn Nation is very hopeful for the future...

FSU has played 1 great football team in almost 2 years and they won that game probably because they got to rest for 14 weeks.Have we ever seen a National Champion play an easier schedule.?With that talent and that schedule u should win it.Sheridan thinks Miami beats FSU next week.It's FSU and The 7&5 conference.Duke is a cute,little story but come on man!Maybe the Gators will save Muschamp...U never know..I wouldn't put much stock in that Texas win.They have a long ways to go.Auburn certainly got Karma or whatever u want to call it.The A&M kid all but actually said Auburn had the ball in the post game conference.Sometimes I swear they won't overturn calls just because the refs feel it reflects bad on them.Just like the Auburn-Ga game last year...Replay clearly shows Murray DID NOT SCORE...but its inconclusive...Boom,I don't know why u show so much disrespect for Ole Miss when they have one of the great,young coaches in the country.Go look up how many 4-5 star players come from Mississippi.Its hard to win at Ole Miss.I honestly laughed when TxA&M blocked the Fg and ran it for a touchdown.Write the panel and tell Rice what u think about losing at home as a heavy favorite.To think there are people serious thinking she should be NFL Commish or SEC commish

Longhorn,I disagree with u on Strong recruiting as good as Mack Brown..Strong may not have the great one liners,but he is a damn good coach and he will out work Mack Brown.Texas is taking a couple of steps back to go forward...I think u will see some great recruiting classes.Strong is a worker and gets good people around him.I'm just not impressed with Bama and stunned they are an 8 point favorite over MissSt...Boom,is this the year Clemson wins the State Championship?

Still think you're lame for coming back after you lost your "big bet" a couple years ago. However, obviously I check out your threads and your record and knowledge of CFB can not be questioned.  

Lol, I love to see this guy get his butt hurt by the SEC each week... Sorry Boom, but Bama will be ranked #3 and if they beat MSU next week they will go to #1... Even if FSU beats Miami (which they won't).. The Final four is :
