a few notes:



Turnovers. Clemson has GOT to clean these turnovers up. It has been a problem for several weeks now and if this team wants to contend to a NS, they must clean this up, bottom line. As far as yesterday's game.... Tip your hat at a GREAT effort by South Carolina. I thought they played really hard and had a good game plan. With that being said, Clemson turning the ball over helps that game plan. That last score made it look a lot closer than it really was, but all in all it was a nice game by them and at the end of the day Watson IMO is the best player in the country and he did what great players do, win. I know North Carolina is the " flavor " of the month right now...and yes, I have been at the forefront waving the UNC flag, but with that being said. Clemson will beat them IMO no problems as they march to final 4 and get a shot at a title.


Florida fans....where are ya? 27 - 2 bro? What did I say last week? I told you, you couldn't score if FSU let you have 14 players on offense. What a freaking disgrace of a football team. I told one guy on here last week after he was claiming Florida would score 24 points that they couldn't 24 points total if they played FSU 3 times. Well, I was wrong....it would take them 12 times to do that, not 3.

Rivalry week proved once again how overrated the SEC is.....Bottom line.

Why? I have given covers.com several opportunity's to clean this forum up from the garbage. It has not worked.... I think this place for the most part is for clowns. I'm going to only post in others threads ( mainly just the few people I like to talk with on here ) ......from time to time starting next year. My covers retirement starts immediately following the college football bowl season. If you have enjoyed the picks through the years and analysis...Great, I hope it was something that benefited you. But this site is out of control and the veterans in here agree with me. Sorry, I'm not changing my mind..... GL to you guys.

So Far:


Alabama  -16.5   - I just can't imagine how Florida competes in this game. If Florida is a top 25 team then im miss America.... Florida is a freaking joke. Last week I said that Florida couldn't score with 14 players on offense..... well, give them 15 this week....and they still won't score at the VERY MOST is 7.... defensive TD, Punt return, something like that... But this team is not driving the field and scoring. I think Florida is the worst divisional champion I have seen in maybe 10 years or more...and what does that really say about the SEC east?

Air Force + 6.5  - I really like this team... I think they win SU. Air Force has looked like a Jeckyll and Hyde team at times... But I think they get it done.

Clemson - 5.5  - Clemson has got to stop turning the ball over. I know they haven't been as sharp lately....but that's what tuning the ball over and over and over will do to ya. Bottom line is Watson is tremendous. He IS the best player in the country. Clemson will get their shiit together this week and stop turning the ball over. I know there is a lot of talk about UNC upsetting Clemson this week..... Not gonna happen. I think Clemson wins this game walking away. Clemson 52  UNC 27

you are wrong again  boum not only 10  years  ,maybe  last 25,never seen   offensive like that since  i love football and i am 51.

  bot sure  with  air force i  got  a  huge huge huge  respect  for all military team in USA  ,but sd is better than people  think ,2 solid  rb

Gonna miss your input bud 

Agree with both Alabama and Clemson. It seems like Clemson might have let off the gas after the FSU game but they have to realize it is time to crank it up because a loss here would not only kill their perfect season but also their shot at a national title.

First off thanks for the time you have invested in your threads. There are things you post I agree with and those I do not. Would be pretty strange if I did not. I see no point in chasing a good capper off the forum, but clearly some think they can do better than 60%. These are probably the same guys tailing all your plays. I have followed a few plays this year with pretty solid results so again thanks for that and good luck brother.

Thanks for the YEARS of service BOOM! Been following for a looooong time on the low. Most of the vet's on here have moved on to twitter and away from the trolls, maybe something to consider. Good luck with everything and all the best brother! and again, thanks for all the help you've offered over the years. Won't be the same around here but at the same time I can't say I blame you. Please, if there's any way to get a hold of you for your input/picks in the upcoming seasons or if you do decide to get on twitter or another source, I would love to know.

you can post in my thread next year if you want Boom, they don't do what they do in your threads in mine, it's an easy fix, I'll just ban them all if they pull that in my area


if you lost alot like some of our members nobody would respond to your thread, but winning at a 60% clip draws attention, you are better than they are at betting and they hate it because they disagree with your opinions on the ACC and SEC

Boom I will give it to you that you are a good capper. I have followed you for a few years but you bring the trolling on yourself. When you bash someone's team or personally attack them what do you expect. I just got so tired of you bashing the sec like the whole conference is represented by vandy, Kentucky, s Carolina and Missouri. You bash the qbs saying none could start for any other team. You make excuses weekly for mediocre performances by Clemson against mediocre teams. Your team has finally become relevant after decades of being a doormat and you don't know how to act. You want the site to clean up but the moderators, just like the one I had to speak to via email because I got banned from posting because you told on me for disagreeing with you, see it the way I do. I told the moderator to just go back and read the thread that you got upset about and see if I was trolling or disagreeing with you. I also told him to look at all the personal attacks by you and your compadre urban and see if certain posts were justified then within a matter of 20-30 min I was up and going. Veterans like train, mega locks, temple, macwestie, and others don't have this problem. Why because they do it the right way. The jokingly make fun or poke fun but don't go out of their way to attack people or certain teams. IMO covers will be better without you and your biased opinion.

Conor McGregor??? really????   I can dig that I guess. But if you knew me personally you would think differently.


It's not about the ACC or the SEC or the PAC12 or Big 10 or Big 12.... It's about football to me. You, I and others come from old group of guys who know this game much differently then these chest beating, conference homers of today.

Really my rants are about today's college football fan more than anything. I really do mean what I'm about to say, I feel as if today's average football fan is an uneducated, non thinking, sheep following lost individual. These " clowns " in this forum for the most part are the things I just described. 

College football today is bigger than it's ever been in it's entire existence. Problem is it's also really attracted clowns. The reason I PUSH PUSH PUSH what I'm talking about in relations to college football it's because I know what reality is. These kids think they know..... but they don't know. EsecPN is the single worst thing that has happened to our sport. THE SINGLE worst thing...

Hey, I'm still gonna be me..... the problem is, there needs to be more like me. What is that? A thinker..... a person who voices their opinion.....and a person who puts the work in that can back up what he's saying. I been doing this for a long time.

I did think of another plan for you Boom, this would solve your issues with Gator fans and rest of the SEC nation


just post your picks each week and don't give a detailed writeup of your thoughts, bashing of the SEC, praising of Clemson, etc...I know this means you have to change the way you do things but it's the only way you get different results than you get currently, I mean bro, you get posts from people who don't even post, some of these cats haven't even dreamed of starting their own thread with picks in it and they come out to respond to you, I'd say take my suggestion for a week or two and I assure you that you will have a normal thread like the rest of us, or you are welcome to post in my thread, just trying to help you stay sane if you want to stay around, if you want to leave anyhow then by all means, alot of these guys clearly don't like you or agree with you but the forum is better off with your picks in it, this is a gambling forum after all, not a fan site, that's my opinion

Give it a rest. Nobody is better off when a 60% capper disappears......even the guys who don't tail. Facts are facts........the SEC isn't as good as it was only a few years ago.......the SEC has the least talented QB's of the 5 power conferences............and Clemson has a very good team............biased opinion?

You obviously don't read everything. So here are some facts to get you caught up. I agree the sec is down and have been for 2 years. That's the year they put 4 qbs in the nfl for those that say they never have qbs. I also think that Clemson and Oklahoma are the best 2 teams in the country right now. I think bama is 3rd. I think Watson is dynamic and may win heisman. Oklahoma has best trio of talent on offense. I also am NOT a bama fan and I very much dislike Saban but I give credit where it's due. I also think that the top half of sec is better than some here think. Florida is struggling without Grier and if played same schedule with Harris from start would be 6-6 at best.Ms state has a damn fine qb in dak and I say that with throwup in my mouth because I dislike ms state the most out of the sec. Dobbs for tenn is a very good qb. Tenn is a handful of plays away from being undefeated. If you don't believe that look at the games they lost they were all in last minutes. They are young and haven't learned how to finish. They will be much better next year. Ole miss has a fine qb in Kelly but lost to Memphis and Florida with a depleted team. Down 9-11 starters in those games. They were prolly the most injured team in country for a few weeks after bama game. Then lost on fluke 4th and 25 play to Arkansas who is a very hot team right now. Any of these teams mentioned can beat teams ranked 4-15. That is a fact. I think Oklahoma can beat anyone right now as do I bama. I also think Coker is much better than given credit for. If Clemson gets by unc which I'm not so sure of. They will be in same conversation as Oklahoma and bama but until Saturday we will see. I am not biased I put my team aside when betting. I also put my ego aside. I have won big every year for last several years getting in both college and pros. I make my own picks and come here for insight. There are a few cappers here that I don't go against. If I have a team picked and they on other side I just don't bet it. Boom used to be one of those cappers until this year. His team got good and his sec biased got so ridiculous that I quit following him. So maybe know what your talking about before you post.

my question after reading this post would be if you come here for insight why do you choose to respond to Boom's threads?  how would that help your insight since you stated you don't follow his picks anymore, you have less than 100 posts since 2013, what percentage of those are in Boom's threads?  

you seem to know some football and I agree with some of your football takes in this post but it would seem you aren't here just for insight or you wouldn't get into it with Boom in his thread, help me out here?  

which part of this situation am I misunderstanding here?
