Week 14 Picks

Season: 54-44Best Bets: 14-6Last Week: 8-4I have had a good run the last few weeks, so hopefully I can keep it up going into to bowl season.Northern Illinois -6- There is a lot of pressure on Kent State to win and get into the BCS.  They have been fantastic all year and so has N. Ill.  When it comes down to it, I give the edge to N. Ill because of Jordan Lynch.  Kent State is giving up 281 ypg in the air and I think that is recipe for disaster for KSU.  Should be a good game at half and then I think N. Ill pulls away.Stanford -8- Love this team and especially their coach.  I saw nothing last week that leads me to believe that UCLA can hang with these guys again.  TCU &#x2B;6.5 (Best Bet)- TCU will win this game with defense!  Their offense is starting to come around now that Boykin has a few games under his belt and I think they are really started to open the playbook up more for him in the past few weeks.  Love the dog in this spot.Middle Tenn State &#x2B;10- I have followed both teams all year and 10 points is just too much for this game IMO.  This will likely be a shootout and in shootouts I always take the points, especially when I am getting the 10 points.UGA &#x2B;7- I have thought long and hard about this one and what did it for me was I don&#x27;t think Bama is as good as they were last year and I think UGA has more NFL talent on this team than Bama.  Now the coaching edge clearly goes to Saban, but if a coach was ever "due" to win one, it is Mark Richt.  I think Jarvis Jones and Baccari Rambo come up big in this game.  Not calling for a UGA win just yet, but I think this one comes down to the wire.Nebraska -3 (Best Bet)- Nebraska has won 6 in a row and Wisconsin is coming off back to back heartbreak losses.  It&#x27;s been a disappointing season for Wisconsin and I think the motivational edge goes to Nebraska.  Nebraska offense will be too much for Wisconsin to keep up with.Feel free to comment or tell what you like and don&#x27;t like.

No doubt that Bama is not as good as last year. I am just not sure we know anything about Georgia. Their "big win" was a slop fest. We know nothing about them based on who they have played the last month. I will be in the dome for the game tomorrow but too many unknowns for me to touch this game. The only thing I do know is that Bama's players have been in this position before and Georgia's haven't. And please don't compare Georgia playing in the SECC game last year to this one. The stakes are much higher.

Like the rest of the card. I am considering a teaser with Stanford and NIU tonight instead of playing the sides.

I&#x27;m with you on TCU. Gonna play the ML. Riding Kent St tonight though (spread &amp; ML).&#xD;&#xA;Yacker i highly recommend taking the under on the BAMA/Georgia game... I watch mostly all SEC football and have seen all these teams for many years. The total is way too high. I think that this is the best bet on the board this week.  &#xD;&#xA;GL!

I think you are right, we don&#x27;t know much about the UGA team because they have not been challenged too much, but then again Bama hasnt either.  I would agree AM &gt; south carolina, but probably UF &gt; LSU.  In any event, this one comes down to more gut feel and I think UGA has a little more (not much at all) urgency in this one because of the fact they have come so close many times.  Just my opinion.  Should be awesome game and I&#x27;m going to miss a lot of the 2nd half because my cousin is getting married.  Sheesh who gets married during football season!

Like last year they had a week or so where they thought their dream was over. When Oregon and Kansas State lost it rejuvenated this team much like last year. Their dream is again alove and they are one game from playing for it all again. Experience in big games and having success in big games is the biggest difference between these teams. IMO one expects to win and the other hopes to win.

@yacker I dont completely disagree with you, but sometimes expecting to win can also lead to being to cocky. Call me crazy, but I think UGA is the hungrier team and has more to prove. Alot of Bama's players have already won a SECCG and NC.

Either way, I like the points in what I think will be a close game
