Week 2 line that dropped and I’m looking very hard at is Tennessee -4.5 Vs NC State. Anybody have thoughts or comments on this? I think Tennessee has way too much firepower with their high tempo offense. This line just looks extremely low to me. Any input from the gallery?

First big road test for Nico. Vols dline will challenge NC State from start to finish. Can McCall overcome the ferocious Vols dline and produce TDs instead of FGs.

I'm seeing 6.5. I think Tenn will be way too much for NC State. State struggled at home last game and I think this is a strong SEC team against an average ACC team. Neutral location in Charlotte. NC State is 160 miles away and Tenn is 360 miles away. I assume Tenn fans will travel well. I'm looking at a 31-17 type of game. BOL

I agree, TN should romp and stomp on NCST. Double digits, would give 2 TDs if necessary; bet this one heavy. BTW, it may be 360 to Memphis but Knoxville is much closer, maybe 4 1/2 to 5 hours drive...not much more than drive from Raleigh. And western Carolina has as many TN fans as they do Wolfpack fans. Crowd pretty closely split. Vols will roll this Saturday, hte it but I will take the easy money.

Hopes were high going into the season for N.C. State. They struggled against Western Carolina for 3 quarters, especially in the trenches. The offense didn’t get much of a push against a smaller Catamount D-LINE.
There has been talk that chemistry is a bit of an issue right now because they were very busy in the transfer portal so it could take a little time to gel. Their transfer QB has a ton of previous experience and WR Concepcion is a budding superstar for State and they got a very productive RB transfer in hopes to balance their offense more this year. If Tennessee has an elite Corner that can lock Concepcion up it would help greatly. What is the Vols D-Line like? State O-Line could struggle against it since they struggled against WC.
Coach Doreen tends to have his team ready to play in big games or against rivals and has been successful in games at Charlotte.
State was trailing going into the 4th quarter and then outscored WC 21-0 in the 4th. Seems like State’s DC called a very vanilla game in the 1st game, maybe didn’t want to show too much to Tennessee’s offense?
