Poor call on Kent, as I said it was a line reaction play & I just overreached, they fought hard in 2nd qtr after spotting them 21-0 but they had so many penalties & brutal 3rd & long defense, they were a tired team & that was a terrible pick if we stay honest with ourselves, live & learn, it’s 1 game, luckily a bad loser loses the same amount as a good loser, I have that going for me (silver lining
)
Nice slate of games other than Large Money burning
Smiss was kind of an easy call wasn’t it? How bad is Auburn’s offense? Wtf is happening on the Gus Bus
Altitude got them in 2nd half as suspected with combo of sitting on huge lead but the fighting Hoos saw that Liberty victory coming, offense was too good to be catching 7 from a fraud team
How did Ohio St win? Franklin is a pole smoker, they were the better team but credit to Haskins & Meyer for keeping their cool, Ive liked Haskins all year, he’s going to keep getting better & is easy to cheer for, I don’t like Urban much but I like the Buckeyes so glad they won
Nick called off the dogs as expected & refused to run it up, that’s how he does it every year on those type games, Saban is loud & yells too much but he’s got class, Bama is unfairly good this year
Notre Dame different team with new QB, Stanford should have 2 straight losses, let’s be honest, tough road game at Va Tech, hard to be up every week, can they do it?
Michigan’s offense is brutal, Harbaugh please do something modern for once in your life, nobody wears baggy khakis anymore & nobody runs your offense either, adapt or be mediocre, that offense wouldn’t reach the 50 vs Bama
LSU nice win over a team that gives them trouble , Ed keeps getting it done, we will see if they can keep improving
Fresno was a nice choice in the late night shift
San Jose just plays Hawaii tough
Boise was kinda safe as predicted, Wyoming is not any good
USC continues to be poorly coached in what can only be described as embarrassing, Helton is 100% clueless, Arizona had no business being in that game
Ducks bounce back, good sign for them, I had a feeling they’d never leave Eugene after that Stanford loss, hard to believe in your coach after that one but they responded quite well in Stawberry Canyon
Oklahoma can’t stop anyone & Texas can’t really muster up much offense when away from Austin, what will give in that matchup?
Kentucky continues with easy wins, are they that good? You have to give them credit, Stoops has a hoops school at 5-0 playing in the best conference, tip my hat to him
Couch burners tried to let Tech back in game but slow start was too much to overcome, most of our forum bet WVU, I actually thought Tech would outscore them because the game was in Lubbock, didn’t bet this one but would have lost if I had , coach handsome back to being just handsome for another week
Every year I evaluate my predictions & just laugh when they are so wrong it’s comical , this year that team is Miss St, I actually had them doing damage in the sec & ranked top 10, hahaha, wow
My Top 10 (this changes weekly as we learn more of course)
1. Bama - nobody wants it
2. Ohio St - very beatable but good Qb that will get better
3. Georgia- not the same as last year but still solid
4. Oklahoma - can’t stop a light breeze but fun to watch
5. Clemson - lucky to win, Cuse got too conservative
6. LSU - good defense, keep winning, been a surprise
7. Notre Dame- new Qb solid, tough games coming up
8. Penn St - they move up or stay same with loss
9. Kentucky - new entrance, what else can you do?
10. West Virg - great QB but not enough defense most likely
Auburn & Washington on edge
Lots of discussion this week, few picks posted if any, happy to help others per usual so if you have questions about games I’ll do my best to answer
Cheers Covers Nation
