Boom can you explain the Ohio st pick? I love Penn st this week. OSU has been fade material as of late and their defense is suspect IMO. Penn st has a stout d. Think they can do enough to contain Elliot and force Cardell into some tough throes under pressure where he tends to be a little innacurate. OSU does tend to play down to their competition but I feel 17 is way too much here. I have OSU winning 30-24ish. Bol regardless

You know I love you to death and we are down like four (4) flat tires, but those out of conference ACC wins you tout, very few come against SEC teams and as far as the ACC prowess against other Power 5 conference teams is due to those Power 5 teams beat up on each other (especially the SEC) week in and week out all season long while the ACC teams have to face maybe one (1), no more than two (2) “Real” teams during their regular season (Duke, Florida State and Clemson – the rest of the ACC is straight garbage’). Hxll, by the time the ACC locks horns with other Power 5 conference squads in bowl games, those rosters are beat up and ready for R&R (chasing women, smoking dope etc...) and "ain't" thinking about anymore football.
Oh by the way, excellent piece of work last week and as always, best of luck this week…
I'm not necessarily picking a side here but I have an issue with some of your logic. 1) Why does the ACC's out of conference wins get discredited because they aren't vs the SEC?? Is the SEC as a whole THAT much better than the rest of the power 5? I don't think so. The gap isn't that big 2) Do you think that the bad teams of the ACC don't hit as hard as the bad teams or the other power 5? Or do they not run as hard, or try and hard? Is the contact less minimal?? In conference play is tough no matter the level of competition. I think Arkansas/Alabama showed us that... I'm not saying BC, Wake and Syracuse are great by any means but for every one of those, I'll raise you a Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Maryland, Iowa State, Kansas..... shall I keep going?? 3) If players aren't prepped for a bowl game mentally, that falls on the coaching staff, not on this myth that their conference play was so hard that they shut it down. Teams are either up for a bowl game or down. And most of the time it's in direct correlation to their season expectations, not the "grueling" schedule they just played.... Again, not saying the ACC is the best conference or anything like that. I don't even care about stuff like that. I just thought there were some flaws in your thinking.

I mean no dis respect.... But the whole beat up on each other argument is the dumbest example in all of college football. It's ESPN nonsense that is bias driven to support what they want.
Remove your way of thinking in regards to ESPN...it's the worst thing that has ever happened to the everyday sports fan

I read your thread weekly for insight and I hope you can help me out here....Why did Utah jump so high? I know they blew out a BAD Oregon team, but they haven't really beat anyone. The win at Michigan was Harbaugh's 1st game and his team was still adjusting. I really don't see how they jump to #2 or even #5. I will say I am a UTES fan and am excited at the possibility of them being there in the final 4, but I just don't see them hanging in there with the likes of Baylor, TCU, Clemson or several more from the SEC. I want to believe we're that good but it seems too fast of a jump when they haven't really played any solid teams. I guess we'll see how they do down the line. I bet as a hobby, so my knowledge is limited. I am hoping to adsorb a little wisdom here. Thanks!

..My old boss' name is on Utes stadium.Super Super guy.Must be nice being able to donate 20mill to your school.Maybe I'm more of a blueblood guy but the thought of Utah being in the CFB playoff makes me yawn. That tall ,slow Qb will get eaten up by a good D.I think ASU defeats them today.Go Get em Boom.
