I accepted your friend request. Always interested in getting together with a few Covers guys to watch some games. Not many people are degenerate enough to watch 12 hours of football and then be pissed off that Hawaii hasnt played a midnight game this season!!
Yes, I always looked forward to that last game that started at midnight. I heard they changed starting time for better TV exposure. They have been on ESPN Game Plan once this year. What the hell is a guy supposed to do for a late night fix anymore ???

Spurrier play calling > John chavis' Big injuries to LSU Oline vs best dine in the nation A couple of third and longs with Clowney and co crushing mettenberger while only rushing 4 will silence the crowd and then spurrier will own Chavis just like the old days (TennvFlorida) 21-10 Gamecocks Don't get caught up in the good spot for LSU or viceversa for SC Demoralizing loss last week for tigers and crazy confidence boost for gamecocks against UGA This game just like the UF game will show how much the honey badger is missed

I dont discount the fact than an argument can be made for SC and a pretty damn good one. I just feel that with an average SC team(on the road) coming into a hostile environment with a QB that likes to take hits and gets rattled there is a lot of value in LSU. Just when you start counting out a talented team like LSU, is when they fight back and shock ya

Agree with the last part of your comment but why do you think SC is average? Clowney, Lattimore, Swearinger, Taylor, Sanders,Ellington, Shaw(smart, solid qb) all coached by Spurrier You can point to Kentucky and Vandy game but SC finishedKent game scoring 5 unanswered tds on the road and it was Vandys super bowl that game and first game of the season with Shaw banged up

I think SC is average on the road and for the exact points you brought up. Elite teams are not losing to Kentucky 17-7 at half. I can understand the performance in Vandy as that was a great atmosphere and to even assume playing in Vandy is half the atmosphere Baton Rouge is crazy. So a team that struggles to win a game in Vandy and is down 10 on the road in Kentucky is expected to come into death valley at night and dominate a game? I just find that hard to believe

Thats awesome you just gave me a Chris Carter come'on man..
we can argue over whos dline is better right now but LSU oline is weak right now because of injuries and SC dline will perform better because of that fact
LSU d will underachieve because of Chavis and Spurrier will expose what little weaknesses you guys have... third down conversions are Chavis' achilles heel

You're just making shit up. LSU is ranked in the top 15 in 3rd down conversion %. And that % spiked severely last weekend after the defense had to play for 38 minutes. Got any other bullshit observations

I'm a lifelong tenn fan and when chavis was the dcoordinator 3rd down was a given that he would screw it up.. You can get all angry message board tough guy and give me some stats from this year but when spurrier dials it up against chavis

Wait, so stats from this year are less relevant than from when Chavis coached for a different team? You don't have to warn me of anything, I'm just stating facts. I think LSU will struggle but it won't be bc spurrier "dials" it up against Chavis, a man he hasn't beaten since being at USCe.

Well let's see Chavis has been running the same 4-3 scheme for 30 years and those stats you gave me were from thus year where LSU didn't play a top 25 opponent until "those stats" were skewed when they played a top 10 team... and now they're about to play a top 5 team.. Just like Chavis did twenty years ago he will do Saturday - blitz 7 or 8 on third and long and get burned.. Nothing has changed.. and if Towson sacked metty 4 times clowney will get 4 by himself

i will let u two go at it since u guys followed Chavis... i just want to say I think Chavis is the truth and this man is in my mind one of the best d cords ever.. u can say all u want about LSU and LES and the bad offense but , i guarantee u wont find any LSU fans that dont love Chavis... prove me wrong..

Well underdog I think Chavis is a class act and solid coach but it's easy to be successful when you bring in the talent that the bayou produces down there.. But now that Claiborne and the badger are gone with some LB injuries we will see how he does..

LSU be honest really honest here... they lost brockers nad a few linebackers also morris and badger but when i look deep inside.. the 2 safties reid and loston, prolly the best middle linebacker in football... def the best d line with the freak , bennie, monty and mingo... do u think this is the best d they ever had... it is the best dline right

Moonshineeddie how about 5 years ago when he was at tenn still, how did those last few years turn out for the vol defense .. Did he change his philosophy when he got to LSU or did he inherit a boatload of 5* talent ??

According to Chavis yes. You didn't even mention Minter who recorded 17+ tackles, 2 TFL and a fumble recovery last week. This defense is nasty but not sure it can overcome an offense that is as bad as the defense is good. #3 defense and #98 offense, that's incredible for a school that recruits do well had as a BUNCH of good backs.
We preached depth all offseason and it's being tested to the max on the O line. Mett read articles about himself all offseason and it shows.
Defense will keep us in games but unless Miles changes the 1970s offensive mindset we'll score just less than we hold our opponents to.
