Boom,
Makes complete sense and understand your logic. This game probably comes down to 3rd down efficiency (and as always, turnovers). If Northwestern converts on 3rd down, can move the ball and put up some points early, MSU will be forced to at least play a bit more attacking style to keep pace (they won’t want to get in a 10-0 hole or 14-0 on the road). With that said, if NU has a couple three & outs early and punts the ball away.. .. I think you are absolutely right. Cousins & Co pound will pound the rock and shorten the game. Completely agree with you on MSU though, for sure. Last year, they lose that ND game, and maybe find a way to lose the fighting Zooker game. Definitely a more experienced, mature team that can handle pressure a bit more.
I have been reading covers for a long time.. I have never posted (reading the posts are usually entertaining enough for me!). But, in this case I had to ask b/c I was going to hammer that over. Thought I might as well get your opinion before I throw a bunch of money at it, without at least getting some input on the other side. Actually before you posted the under on your card, the one thing that scared me the most is the KO at 12:00. Some teams just can’t get out of the gate that early, much like FSU & NC State last week. Both Noon games, and both teams vs. lesser talent (especially FSU vs. BC) came out flat, sluggish and uninspired. Thankfully E. Carolina put up 21 points, so NC had to play catch up. That didn’t play out like that in the FSU game, which stayed low scoring much of the game, finishing 24-19 (Didn’t help that Ponder played horrible, throwing 3 pix and fumbling once). I think I may throw a couple bucks on the over, instead of what I was originally thinking. Thanks for your input.
Good Luck this weekend!
