I think we should take a hard look at this Navy squad and what they have done this year. Without a doubt they have looked great, but their strength of schedule thus far leaves a ton to be desired. 4 of their 6 wins came against 2 of the biggest dumpster fires of the year thus far in air force and UAB, Bucknell, and a Temple team that many believed was the worst team in the country going into the year. Not to mention the midshipmen benefited from FIVE turnovers last week in a game they were actually outyarded 363-288 against a bad Charlotte team. Not exactly a murderers row. I will give them credit for the big win over Memphis, but admittedly i am not completely sold on the tigers yet. I think Navy might experience a bit of a "shock to the system" when they meet the 10th ranked team in the country in total defense in Notre Dame who is starting to hit their stride on the offensive side of the ball. They will get the Irish full attention here with a bye week on the horizon, and i dont see a world where Navy can stop the run against this Notre Dame rushing attack that is averaging 5.8 yards per carry (10th in the country). Leonard has turned it around through the air as well with some impressive numbers in their last few games. For the first time this year this Navy offense should meet some serious resistance, the same can not be said on the other side of the ball where the Irish should cruise. This matchup last year was a 42-3 beatdown for Notre Dame btw and they are certainly no strangers to playing Navy as they do so every year. I expect Dame to create some separation here ill lay 12.5, this line could come down and in the event it gets to 10 this turns into a big play but i am fine with the current number.
-Notre Dame is 40-25 ATS as a favorite since 2018
-Notre Dame is 10-4 ATS in Neutral Site games since 2018
