This is why teams play soft zones against passing spread teams because when it becomes 3rd and 4th and short they wont convert. When the field condenses in the redzone they cant score TDs.

I hate the spread...it has ruined football, its a gateway for bad teams to field teams IMO

down 9 at the 20 yd line - Go for it on 4th and 1 (would have been down one score)

 

I know time is a factor (kinda) but there's 8 damn minutes left in the 3rd quarter!!! TONS OF TIME
