What teams are not so happy with their bowl invitation?

@Shiek - I do not think they are particularly psyched or disappointed.  They started season strong then started losing games so it's a bit tricky.  I would NOT bet on that team at the moment.

Duke, season totally tanked, theyre a dog tho so dunno if that fits.

Toledo, lost to Western Mich at home last game threw away a chance at the MAC title and a much bigger bowl, playing Temple who has improvrd but isn't a sexy big name team. Really like the Owls in this spot.

I will start it off...  Iowa is a very good team, and they at one time had aspirations of the playoff, but fell short.  They are going to the Rose Bowl, and they have not been to that level of a bowl in a generation.  I think the team and fans for Iowa are stoked.  Stanford definitely can feel slighted as they had a legit argument to be in the playoff.  I will be taking Iowa over Stanford to cover the spread.


Have to disagree with you on this. Iowa would be more disappointed for losing a CFP berth with 33 seconds left in the game. Stanford knew all along that they would need a lot of help (with 2 losses) to get in CFP. A Rose Bowl is a very nice consolation prize. BOL on your pick.

Surprised no one mentioned The Ohio State. Defending champs going to the Frog Bowl. They were clinging to a false hope after running over a depleted Mich. defense.

Already lost DT Washington for solicitation!! How many more will fail to make the trip? Which is another angle, who gets suspended between now and game time?? And lets add another angle, how many that are turning pro don't want to get hurt and hold back?? Barrett, Elliott????

Iowa is really stoked for the Rose Bowl and their defense looked very good in the BIG10 championship. MSU just played that last drive perfectly. Really believe Iowa will give Stanford a game!

Memphis should be a good play over Auburn. Auburn has players transferring, D coordinator Muschamp gone to SC, and Coach on the Hot Seat.

Memphis at +2.5 right now and it may cross the fence as a Favorite by 12/30.

I love Memphis, not to mention a QB who wants to give scouts one more big reason on why he should be the number 1 QB in the 2016 draft.

No I believe you missed the point entirely. Im not saying either team will be more motivated than the other. That was my point.
For you to say that Stanford isnt going to be 'motivated' is absurd.
And if you think it isnt in the back of the minds of the iowa players that they were a few seconds/1 score literally away from the playoff, youre nuts.
