What would Ohio St record be if played Miss. St sch?

Would they beat :

Okla St at neutral site?
LSU  at home?
Auburn on the road?
Alabama at home?
South Carolina on the road?
Texas A&M  on the road?

What would Miss. St record be if they played Ohio St schedule?  This shows you just how absurd this really is!!

Wow.....first Mizzou, then Auburn.....and now we're comparing OSU to Miss State? Give it a rest.

PS, a Big 12 school is playing in the SEC title game.

They asked some Alabama players last year who in the SEC would they compare Notre Dame to and they said Miss. St.

Mississippi State wouldn't win 24 straight games against an all FCS schedule.   

How did the mighty SEC fare this year?  Auburn is there because of a tipped pass and 4 missed FG's.  Ol' Johnny Football's team quit weeks ago, Florida was a joke, Georgia and LSU can't stop anyone, and a Big 12 team who finished last a year ago might win the conference.  Sorry, Bama was the ONLY legitimate team to be in the NC game and they lost.  Even though OSU and FSU have weaker schedules they DID NOT LOSE (yet).  Now as I said in another thread, any arguing this week is pointless until 11pm next Saturday.

They'd be 4-2 at best in those 6 games mentioned, that's best case scenario

Most likely 2-4

That said, they don't have to play that schedule & they are unbeaten, it is what it is

Let next weeks games take place & then it will be sorted out

Fsu & Bama were the only top notch teams, one of them gave away a game so now someone else has to make the title game

Hopefully we don't get another bad title game, I just want to see an exciting game that is close

.

Id love to see what some of the SEC honks would say if their schools came up to the Midwest in Nov/Dec for a game.

But then they wouldn't have to face the challenges of teams like Western Carolina, Furman, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, or Georgia Southern (oops).

Now just make sure you don't look past Sparty, and then pray for a month that Fla State doesn't show up because in my opinion they are the best team in the country.  If Devon Gardner put up 41, realistically what do you think Jameis will put up.  Thank god there's a month to prep re. 

My only hope is we don't have a natl champ game like last year.

tOSU is 12-0 but don't think they're over a dozen teams that would have the same record with that schedule.

Personally, as an FSU alum, I'm looking forward to seeing the Seminole O vs. the Ohio St D.  Would be less excited by a more exciting contest against, say, Auburn or Mizzou.

Georgia #81 in scoring defense @ just under 30ppg...  LSU was better, but couldn't stop the better offenses.  OSU's D held Wisconsin to 100 yards rushing in their biggest test of the year....The Michigan game was partly them not playing great, but also a great plan by the Wolverines.  Michigan finally gave up trying to run the stretch play which they had tried all year to no avail.  MSU is a much better matchup for the Bucks D.  

Bama missed Sunseri this last game.  Ohio State would have been able to move the ball on Bama.... And if they and FSU win and meet up it will be interesting to see what happens.  FSU will score, that offense should be able to score on anyone, but it would be the biggest test FSU's D has faced in 3 months by the time the game rolls around.

Just interesting to see and hear what he will say if Ohio State is sitting out of the BCS title game.

Utahs SOS in 08-09 finished at #14.

Ohio State's Strength of Schedule in 13-14 is currently #52

When Miss St fans think they can call out Ohio State you know this SEC love fest thing is getting a little out of hand....

Remember how Mizzou (a mid level Big 12 team) would take years of building and recruiting to be able to compete in the SEC... Oh yeah they won the east this year...

 We might be honks but we obviously know how to read.  Never once did CC say that MSU would beat them, because we know we wouldn't.  He was simply asking a question....he is a bulldog fan like the both of us.  AGAIN, if Ohio State played MSU's schedule, what would their record be?

LSU defense is not what it is in years past but when you lose probably 10-15 draft picks in 3 years that is eventually going to show its effects.  You saying they can't stop the better offenses.  They held a&m to their two lowest totals of the last two years.  Let's also admit playing Murray, mettenberger, Manziel, and mccarron is just not the same as stave, cook, miller, and whoever iowas qb is.  

I'll give it to you that holding Wisconsin to 100 yds is impressive but let's paint the full picture here.....that's partly because they weren't afraid of JOEL STAVE beating them...wouldn't you agree?  

Either way, take care of business this weekend and OSU will have a month to prepare to shut up all the Big 10 haters

Where did I claim he said Miss St would beat OSU?  The implication of this post is that Ohio State is not a quality team and is only a product of its schedule.  Congrats to MSU for having a tougher out of conference schedule, but many teams have had weak OOC schedules that are set years in advance.  The Big 10 has been down in recent years.  Should OSU go recruit for other schools in the conference?  I did not call anyone a honk nor do I lack in intelligence or reading comprehension.

Lets play the game and answer the questions...I think OSU would have gone 11-1 with MSU's schedule losing to Bama.  I think they would raise their game to meet the other challenges.  Many of their in conference games their D has slacked after getting large leads.

I think MSU would have lost to Wisconsin, Michigan (the way they played when OSU played them), Iowa, and Michigan St if they played OSU's schedule.

So what was the point of this mental masturbation otherwise unless it was calling out OSU as somehow inferior or lucky to have such a weak schedule?

This may be the dumbest thing I have ever read on Covers.

Ohio State would drop 56+ on Georgia and A&M. They have Sun Belt caliber Defense's. 

It has already been established that an OSU V. Auburn game would open at OSU -2. Putting 2 and 2 together here, Auburn is -2 V. Mizzou, thus making OSU most likely -4,-5 against Mizzou.

The only FOR SURE team in the SEC that can beat OSU is Bama.

Give Urban a month to prepare for a team and I will gladly back them.

You're spot on in all of that....    

People need to stop blaming the schedule.  Ohio State had TCU scheduled but that was moved to a home and home in 5 years.  They scheduled Cal years ago when the Bears were decent.  They won the games that they played.... 12-0 can't be taken away.  Now see how they play with the pressure on high this Saturday.  Isn't something 6 out of the last 7 years the BCS #1 or 2 has lost in the last weekend?   That will be a BIG measuring stick of both Florida State and Ohio State.
