This is getting ridiculous. Every single week Oregon covers full game and halftime like its nothing. I layed off Oregon last week because of supposed rain and weather issues and by midway 2nd quarter I was
I will be on them first half this week for sure. They have a few more formidable opponents coming up in the next week weeks. Colorado this week, Washington, Washington St, UCLA, Stanford (revenge), Utah, AZ, and Oregon St.
At what point will Oregon not cover guys? I wonder what the lines will be vs UCLA, Wazzu, Wash, and Stanford. I think we'll see some good value on Oregon these games maybe -14-17ish
One things for sure, win or lose this week, I will definitely be on Oregons first half. Its ridiculous what this team has done these past two yrs. THey will put up 55-62 this week easy and be up big at halftime, unless Colorado... ahh nevermind

Im kinda thinking this is the last easy shmeezy Oregon first half and game cover for the rest of the season. They really haven't played anybody yet. Tree, Wazzu, Oregon St, UCLA, they should all put up a descent fight against the Ducks... Wont be enough tho. Stanford may be the only team to beat them SU in regular season. UCLA may come close but probably not. Hundley will have a large task on his hands

Playing Oregon till the end of the season just like the Broncos (Denver) both already made me a happy man might lose here and there but ill be cashing more then paying.

Oregon is going to destroy Standford this year, just like they did in 2011 @ stanford for luck senior season...
(insert duck hater comments here & tell me hogan is better then luck so we can see how stupid you are)
If your looking for a game Oregon could not cover the spread.. Look no further then UCLA @ Oregon, Look ahead game, as for stanford is on deck, which oregon has circled since spring.. UCLA good offense, spread should be around 14-17 and i could see ducks starting slow and finishing hard.. for a 10-14 pt win... Washington has to deal with stanford this week, picking them vs ducks next week is not good for them, even with home field... noise wont be too big of factor since all of Oregons call are made with pictures & hand signals...
Good Luck, and dont worry about black mamba being out this week, marshal & tyner will both have very strong games...

Oregon doesn't have a shut down D, and with their offense getting off the field so quick (usually with points in hand), their D ends up on the field a lot.
They'll struggle to cover big spreads against teams that can actually score. Cal was doomed because of the weather, no way they could play catch up in that mess. Colorado may be doomed because they are just not that good, but we'll see. I haven't decided on that yet. As DUFL pointed out, the UO team total is a good look, as you know they will score.
We'll see about the Stanford game. They certainly gave UO's offense fits last year.

Track record for last three games is Oregon runs up the score the first three quarters and lays off the fourth. So Oregon -22 first half preferred to Oregon -39 game.

This is the last week I'll be betting big for sure without even thinking about it on Oregon 1H because they start getting into the tougher games after this week.
And if you think Oregon is going to destroy Stanford then you aren't very bright and must have missed last year's game? Also without Luck and when Oregon had Mariota who is a much better QB than Thomas was in 2011.

agreed 100%
one proviso i would add for anyone. i think thomas may be out for oregon. won't matter vs. colorado and of course didn't matter vs. cal. but i think it will matter against better teams (of course he'll probably be back by then)

DoubleUp- I like the TT bet. They didnt cover it last week, DeAthony of course went out early. I think Oregon knows this is their last easy game and they'll maximize efforts to punish Colorado. They scored 70 on them last year... They should score 62 Sat IMO easy. I'll play the first half blindly
Good discussion guys. I think Oregon should cover all but a couple spreads this yr. Stanford and UCLA will be their biggest problems. Mariotta has been a stud tho. Stanfords D will give them a fit for sure. That will be a GREAT game to watch

oregon deliberately rewards bettors. they didn't let up on nichols state until they covered late in the 4th. last week they let up in the third but made sure the cover was safe.

I would say this week is one of the biggest chances for Oregon not to cover for a few reasons.
The lines keep getting higher from game to game. We are at 38.5 right now.
Colorado even though they are really bad, they play a lot better at home been that way for 20 years or so.
Colorado was horrible last game due the layoff. They had 3 weeks off due to the flood postponed game. Kinda like the first game of the year all over again.
The streak ends in Boulder

D Thomas is not playing against the Buffs on Saturday...Will that make a difference. I know he was injured on the first kick off. I saw an Int with the Oregon press and he was in pads and in good spirits. But, I think he is out. With Washington on deck, is it possible, they come out and score 28 in the first half, then pack it in. I know the BCS Rankings (1st week) are coming out soon. I think one potential motivation for blowing teams out and covering is the fact that Ohio St is still undefeated. I believe once we get to the first BCS rankings, with Oregon at least number 2, they will know that all they need to do is win out at that point to play Bama or if Bama loses an undefeated Ohio St or undefeated Clemson or 1 loss Georgia team in the BCS NC game...
Other than the obvious Oregon is a Machine and I should just go along with the hoards of folks taking the Ducks, why should I bet Oregon to cover 1st half and game against Colorado. Colorado is improved with the victory over Col St and now having a respectable coach playing at home...
Thanks in advance for the takes...just trying to justify my bet on the Ducks (and I don't want to be a Blind Duck with my picks).
