the worst are Boise State bandwagon jumpers.......... delusional and misinformed. Also known as the Great Church of Boise Backers, this group will diminish in drastic numbers after they lose. Losers looking for a cause........... Famous Boise Backers: Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, Al Sharpton, Benny Hinn, Jim Baker and his ex wife Tammy Faye......... see a theme here. Don't get caught up in the web!!!
. . . but . . . but . . . Boise is so warm and cuddly!!!

At least some Bama fans showed up to take some abuse!!! That's one thing you can say about Bama fans, they do show up.
Just note they didn't show up after that non-Hog cover until Sat morning of the Bama/UF game.. and most didn't start posting until half-time of the UF game..

To answer the on point question, being from the south I see far more Bama homers than Husker homers. But the one Husker homer I did know was so obnoxious that it came close to making me absolutely hate the Huskers, much like I do Boise State at this point. I would like to compare it to an Ole Miss fan. Every year is their year. They are going to be in the thick of the SEC race at the end. It's all delusional and the best and last chance they had to win the SEC, was with Archie, and they did. Won't ever happen again. Most Bama fans I know are cocky, but they have every right to be. Much like the Yankee's in baseball, let the numbers speak for themselves.

Far worse than a Bama homer or a Husker homer is a Vol Homer. They are paying the price for selling their soul to the Devil for that one national championship in '98. Those roaches come out of the woodwork when their winning. Orange all over the damn state, from trailer park to trailer park you can see the Big Orang Country flag being waved. When they lose, most of them switch to being Bama fans or Gator fans.

I currently live in Omaha NE....and i can ASSURE you there is nothing more absurb...loud...and ridiculous than a hillbilly husker fan. It makes me cringe to see them play this well. FUCK EM!

I was going to say... what about the Hook Em Horns homers of Austin, Texas? Perhaps you are one which brought about this question. They are claiming they are going to walk into Lincoln, Nebraska and pass all over the blackshirts on their homefield and punch Martinez in the mouth with their overrated defense. I honestly haven't seen anything out of Texas this year to be proud of that organization this year.

I would say Husker Homers are worse, but I have not been around a lot of Bama folks...I grew up in Omaha and moved out East, and I get a lot of "homeritis" from Va Tech fans here...I now know how other people felt living in Nebraska if they were not from there..it gets old hearing about the local team! One reason I think Husker Homers are worse is we have not had much to cheer about from 2001 to 2008 - now we are getting back on the map, and as good as we have been so far, we need to take it to Texas, get through Mizzou and then Okie State and then we can begin to feel good about ourselves...you have to realize that some of us are spoiled...fI am 37 and for for the first 29 years of my life I had never seen the Huskers win less then 9 games in a year...and then it all went to shit...so please forgive us if we are a little HIGH ON THE HUSKERS right now
PS - originally I thought 9 1/2 was too much...now I am not so sure...I will have to make a small play on the huskers, but this game worries me to be honest with ya..I just want a W

Have to admit Vols fans are pretty hard to deal with and, yes, karma is a bitch. No other program in the country deserves it more than Tennessee . . . even USC. But I do have a lot of respect for Dooley. I have a hard time rooting against him.
The only real Nebraska fan I know is my Uncle Bob, and I love my Uncle Bob!!! So I have nothing bad to say about them. I say GO HUSKERS, except don't go too much this week cuz I'm on Texas +10.

Same can be said of Bama fans. I've been on this board since 2003 and Bama was not very good before or after that until '08. After getting kicked around for 10 years by Auburn, LSU & Tennessee, Bama fans feel like they've been born again. So yeah, Bama fans tend to a bit over-exuberant over Saban and their new-found success therse days, but for good reason. They are in payback mode.

How about the entire SEC in general when its team are good..
Pac 10
Big 10
SEC
woo!! that'll get it to 7 pages...
I think a good argument could be made for the PAC 10, but not the Big 10. Still if you compare the SEC wtih the PAC 10 team for team, I still think SEC probably still holds a a slight edge.

Not sure Gilbert will throw all over them.. but the Huskers just making blanket statements.. UT won't match our speed... Horns have no shot etc, is just funny..
Nebraska has speed because of Martinez.. this offense would not be considered fast if he wasnt the starter.. UT has a top 20 defense and can/will put 8 in the box to make T-Magic throw..
does Texas win? probably not, but the Neb backers are backing them at the worst possible time when its stock has never been higher and the Horns has never been lower..
I've seen more Huskers win by 20+ threads than I saw Bama wins by 21 over Arkansas threads couple weeks ago.. and we know how that turned out

Agree.. but the overall depth might be better in Pac 10.. based on rankings..
Oregon v Auburn Oregon State v LSU Stanford v Bama Arizona v Arkansas Cal v South Carolina Dub v Florida USC v UGA ASU v Kentucky UCLA v Miss State WSU v Ole Miss/Tenn/Vandy
I could see 6+ wins for the Pac 10.. Oregon, OSU, Stanford, USC, ASU, UCLA..
but agree it's very close...

I said before the season started that the most likey spot for a loss would be South Carolina
but you also said in your game writeup that...
Because of that debacle I don't feel I can trust Spurrier with my money in a game I'm certain he will lose. The only question for me is whether South Carolina can keep it within a TD or not.
of course you're going to be right when you say both things.
