everyone I've seen this week is on BYU, the line has dipped from 10 to 7 indicating that most everyone out there is on BYU, should be a very good game to watch on the smurf turf, BYU tends to play close games but their main weakness is pass defense in the games I've watched, if Boise can exploit that then they can beat BYU, we will see what happens

Nope. I have a big play on Boise St.BYU have not impressed me by failing to cover as favs vs Toledo and Miss St. They couldn&#x27;t get stops to put away those teams but pulled out the wins in OT. Last year they managed to pull a miracle win vs Boise so the Broncos have major revenge here at home. You think they&#x27;re going to let that happen again when they&#x27;re one of two undefeated non power 5 teams left? No way, they&#x27;re going to smoke BYU to get up the rankings.Both QBs have good numbers but Rypien, who did not play last year&#x27;s matchup, has done a much better job taking care of the ball. Mcnichols is a stud as is their top WR spurbeck who has 6 TDs.BYU&#x27;s biggest weakness, pass defense, is Boise St strength. They are 2nd in the league behind only Washington in yards per completion allowed, BYU isn&#x27;t even in the top 60. Based on that they won&#x27;t be allowing last second prayers like last year. They also have a good pass rush sacking QBs on almost 9% of dropbacks.BYU run game which was their main strength also took a dip last game to only 3 ypc.Harsin is a coach of the year candidate. In their last non conf, revenge, statement, nationally televised home night game, you want to go against him with a team that couldn&#x27;t put away Toledo or a floundering Miss St? Don&#x27;t tell me you were impressed by them beating Mich St, Spartans have been trending down a while even when they had Langford and that QB who O forget his name but was meant to be good but was a jerk and hated by his teammates and fell way down in the draft.I was going to post this in my own writeup on Friday but decided to help your clueless behind out and save you money.Mormons are gonna wish they stayed home on this mission, trust me.

Boise State can shut down the run game, other than triple-options, which has inflated their run defensive numbers to look worse than they actually are. I think they were in the top 10 before the New Mexico game.

No clue what BYU is going to do if Boise State clamps down against the run, which is all BYU does.

And who has Boise beat ???? Only good win they had was Washington state but that&#x27;s when  Washington state had issues . Boise state hasn&#x27;t impress anyone . Look at the game against Utah state and last week Colorado state . Byu has played tougher competition .  Don&#x27;t call people betting byu clueless.  If Boise played Utah , West Virginia or ucla  they would get murdered . Byu kept up and covered all 3 those games . Look at who byu you played and tell me you aren&#x27;t impressed smh Utah, Arizona , West Virginia , ucla , Michigan state , Toledo Mississippi state .

Nobody talks about cause well it was BYU vs Toledo but i was obviously invested in that game and it was arguably the best game of the year as a fan and viewer besides the Clemson vs Louisville game. BYU&#x27;s running back is a BEAST.  Believe his name is Williams.  Dude had 5td&#x27;s and 257yds(off memory, don&#x27;t pick me apart).  Anyhow Toledo is no cupcake team.  Boise state I feel has played nothing but pansy&#x27;s this year.  I&#x27;m a pac-12 guy and the Beavers were quite possible the worst team in Pac-12 the week Boise state handled them.  I get it, Miss State is down and Mich State is down, but they do have big strong athletes.  Beating power schools is much more impressive then Boise states cupcakes they&#x27;ve beaten.  Anyhow, that&#x27;s my reason for going BYU &#x2B;7  Good Luck all

Thanks Urban..... Just saw something else to help with the BYU argument.  Colorado State this week is an Underdog to UNLV ....come on.... Boise state has played absolutely not one competitor with exception to a WSU team who everyon knows wasn&#x27;t the team they are now.  They are really good now.  They will compete with UW in the apple cup come thanksgiving.

Boise&#x27;s schedule has been pretty soft.  They beat Washington State who has a history of starting the year slow the last few seasons.  Utah State, New Mexico, Colorado State.  I know CSU had a ferocious comeback attempt last week but BYU has traveled all over the country playing top level competition this year, while Boise has stayed close to home to play a pretty soft schedule.  To me this is a coin flip game between 2 pretty damn good teams.  Which makes me lean towards taking the points.

BYU is the pick here but i&#x27;m going against the grain and laying the TD. Boise state has played an incredibly soft schedule where as the athletic department in Provo clearly set out to make a statement in the first half of the season. And they&#x27;ve played well. They&#x27;re not undefeated but their three loses are by a combined 7 points. Their aforementioned back, Williams, is a stud but he is capable of a down game (see WVU, UCLA, Miss st). All this said, and the fact that he broncos traditionally aren&#x27;t kind to me and I should be all over the cougs but i&#x27;m gonna go smurf turfers, at home, on a thursday. Small bet. $200
