Graham should be fired and not allowed to get on the plane home...most idiotic decision I have seen in a long time.
Not to mention after WV first down when they are running out the clock he waits 10-12 seconds before calling a TO. They got a first on the next play so it didn't matter but Graham sure looked like he wanted to get out of there and did really care about winning.

With 4:56 to go in the 4th, you go for two. There is no question about that. The only two people in America who would kick are Graham and win4ever and both are equally inept. But shame on the whole asu coaching staff for not stepping up and getting in Graham's ear. I'm assuming no one did.

You are an idiot if you think any coach with sense doesn't go for 2
Explain how. A 2 point conversion has what around a 50% conversion rate for most teams on the season? So say he goes for 2 and doesn't get it. That makes it a 5 point game. IF WVU goes down and scores a TD and goes for 2 and does get it, it is a 3 point game. Therefore a game tying FG doesn't allow your team a chance to win. He played the chances of having a FG win the game for his team no matter what. It is really a gut decision. You could make arguments on both sides but I really think people are making it a far bigger deal that it actually is.

Makes absolute sense. FG now wins game for ASU. Why is it so hard to understand?
Because it's lunacy. The "FG wins the game" scenario comes into play only if (a) they miss the two, (b) WVU scores a TD, (c) WVU makes the two, and (d) ASU has time to get in FG position but not enough time to score a TD.

You can try to make sense of it if you like, but there's no excuse. Game flow or not, you cannot let a TD and extra point beat you by 1. If you miss it and the other team score, you can still kick a FG to tie it. You have to give yourself the chance to be up a TD. Sorry, there's no excuse. Won't be able to convince me and about 99% of the people watching.

It's the wrong call and it's not even close. 0 excuse. Being up 5 and 6 with less than 5 minutes left is the same thing. You can't expect so many scores with such few time left. Horrible decision. No excuse.
Best statement of the night! Its inexcusable, How does a D1 coach not know to go for 2 up 5 with 5 minutes left, garbage the worst offenses in division 1 football would have gone for it...
And whoever quoted the "announcers not having a clue" are SPOT on! How do you bring it up when they are kicking the worthless extra point.
Last thing..... So 1:35 left and 2 time outs, WV runs for 6 yards and you wait for 20 more seconds to run off the clock so now your turn has zero chance to get a punt move the ball 40 yards and kick a field goal??? The other players even came up to him and were bitching.. his response " well we have to call a timeout" but you let 20 seconds run off the clock so not even a chance to get it back I thought the oregon game was crazy, this coach from ASU is a crooked MF! In my opinion

I guess maybe I see both sides of it. Everyone is making it out to be such a cut and dry situation where only one side of the equation is correct. The one argument I would make for going for 2 there is you make it a TD and you could still factor in that WVU most likely scores a quick TD therefore making it a tie and you still get the ball back with a chance to win on a FG.
So yeah, I'll digress the right call was probably to go for 2. I'm an idiot.

You are correct. After weighing it more in my head the higher % play is to go for 2 there. As MWS said you still have to have a lot of things go right in order for WVU to even get in the position of having it be tied. I'll admit I was wrong on my initial judgement on this one. Graham and I are both a couple of idiots!

There was 5 minutes left! how you don't go for 2 is just crazy! if you think WV is gonna go for 2 thats why you kick an extra point is not a good argument... I didn't lose on the game, but that garbage doesn't make sense kicking the extra point instead on the 2 PT....
Just my opinion
