 O.K. let sum things up regarding the USC athletic program;

The New York Times is reporting that the Trojan football program will be put on 3 years probation including No Bowl Games and NO Televised Games.

And the current Trojan men's basketball program fearing what is coming from the NCAA,has self imposed scholarship reductions,recruiting restrictions and NO Postseason Tournament appearances including the PAC10 tournament.And the NCAA hasn't even dispensed their sentence yet.

 Yeah,so I guess you're right the USC Trojans are what all other NCAA athletic programs aspire to be.

 Now if you'll excuse me I need to go run some errands,I need to get some kerosene to heat my doublewide,my jug of Jack is almost empty,and my banjo needs re-strung.I would love to stop for some fried chicken but I don't have any teeth.

A coach from a school(duke) that averages one win a  year since spurrier left turns down the job at tenn,so the vols get another stud from the great college of Lou Tech.

he didnt turn it down to stay at duke..if you want to come in here to talk trash and act like a silly ignorant asshole thats fine but at least have facts..he wanted the job but he wanted alot of concessions and to bring his coaches replacing the ones we have...with signing day 3 weeks away we need to keep the ones we have there..they couldnt agree on the terms..same as with calhoun and wittingham..but you guys on here seem more interested in bashing than talking football..just like when you tail someones plays and lose the allowance your mom gave you..you come in a bash...im over it. you guys really should get a life. and one more thing... both of the trash talkers in here are obvious sc fans so heres a question to ponder...when scholorships are reduced and post season bans are put on you ...what does lane kiffin bring to the table to get kids out there? let me tell you what he brings...12...12 fucking wins as a HC..im out girls..have fun

muschamp was right not to take the job.....

he already makes a $1 million a year, his family lives in TX, his friends live there. He knows the school, the system and people WANT him there. He will take over one day. Why would he go to a place he has NONE of that? For a couple years and a couple million?? Ruin his life for money?

And you know what? I think its better to be on this penalty than to get Dooley as the HC!!!!!!!!!! Talk about a penalty.

Why? Because they know that Carroll's regime was far more corrupt than what the NCAA could prove? Because they know that they deserved much worse?

 Your statement proves that USC football was reborn because Carroll ran a dirty program.

 

Also,you're wrong in thinking that losing 3 scholarships a year for 3 years won't be a severe setback. Since you're only allowed 25 per recruiting class that's a loss of 12% of your total allowed scholarships.You're also incorrect about the Bowl ban as it states "No postseaon games for 2 years and no televised games for 2 years." They are also not eligible to claim any PAC10 titles during their penalty phase.

 It would really suck to have to root for a team that will be playing for absolutely nothing for the next few years.

However, if that were the case, I certainly think thats not as stiff as it could be. I would feel fortunate.

Again, having Dooley as your coach is certainly a penalty in itself. But who knows, this was said when PC was hired.

And how is this any different to what UT will be going through? You think the Vols will actually amount to shit for the next few years? Please. That cupboard is bare, and will even be more bare with Kiffin leaving. Kiffin fucked them, which is why you guys are so bitter. UT wins 5 games next year, and Dooley will have no momentum next year in recruiting. He'll be gone in 2-3 years. They should have named him interim.
