So Willie is blaming the Nole collapse on CONDITIONING. Heat and Humidity got to them. Agreement from Nole players, with the quote "We weren't prepared".
So in Boise, their average high in the summer is low 90's, with average humidity of 35-40%
In Nole T-Town, same high temp...but like 90% humidity. And THEY weren't READY?
Let's see. Home field. Better athletes. 6 months to prepare in the humidity. Bye Willie.

If you live in Florida or the South, like Mobile where I live, over the years, you ADAPT to the HUMIDITY, that is why 80 degrees feels like 200. His so called logic on this, and his players doing camp all fall is moronic. How does he explain other teams that have practiced in this doing just fine?

And conditioning is part of the coaches job so it's HIS FAULT.
The coach of a florida team blaming a loss on heat and humidity would be like a boise coach blaming on cold in november or a Wyoming coach blaming elevation.

Ive said this once in another thread.... Briles isnt stupid. Everyone knew if Taggart lost this game he would be on the hot seat and possibly fired. FSU offense played great first half then nothing... just enough to make you think Briles has done well... because who would takeover if Taggart is fired? What does Briles have to gain by making Taggart look good? Pretty obvious sandbagging to me. Briles and his dad are pretty shitty humans that only seem to care about their own careers. The defense played well enough to win... they just needed a couple scores in 2nd half to put it away and WOULDNT YOU KNOW IT?! The offense conveniently becomes predictable and disappears.

Taggart is deserving of criticism.... no doubt. But I find that blaming him solely is pretty narrow-minded thinking. I thought the Briles hire was risky... not because of anything except that anyone with the name “Briles” will sell their soul for a head-coaching job and cant be trusted not to snake their way around. Totally saw this coming tbh

I view the FSU problem to be the same problem that Texas had.... They hired Charlie Strong to come in and clean up the culture and he got crucified everyday while trying to do it.... Same with Taggart... The problem at FSU is a culture problem that was started by Jimbo and Taggart is there to cleanup the mess and get crucified everyday while doing it

Point is... these coaches were hired to cleanup a mess and take a beating. Their reputations will both be damaged by their failure but I never really thought they were put into position to succeed in the first place

Charlie Wrong was always an AWFUL HEAD coach. Wrong was a good assistant for so long, because he never wanted to be a head coach, which is fine.
However, Louisville gave him a chance as head coach, and he was completely clueless on in-game coaching, but the great Teddy Bridgewater bailed him out late on numerous occasions.
However, Texas was duped, and foolishly gave Wrong a huge contract, which was basically an affirmative action hire. Now South Florida has the loser, Wrong and I bet they wish they had the solid, Jim Leavitt back running the show there.

You couldn’t be more wrong- Taggart is a terrible coach and nothing more than a snake oil salesman- this loss is 100% on him- and to top it off he is dumb enough to blame the heat and his players lack of conditioning!! He is clueless- he is rightly being for being a poor coach- Strong was a bad coach but at least he was a good guy- Taggart is not!

Both Taggart and Strong are straight affirmative action hires, they are both terrible coaches. I still can't believe USF and Strong have Blake Barnett as his QB. He is like that kid at Northwestern, looked good in HS but will never succeed at the next level. Barnett lasted one quarter at Bama. Just my opinion.

Blowout I respect your knowledge and perhaps there is some truth to what you are saying...
But in 2009 Western kentucky didnt win a single football game... Taggart takes over and they are bowling 2 years later
2012 USF was 3-9.... Taggart takes over and they are 10-2 4 years later with HIS recruits
I guess everybody forgot about the Ducks going 2-7 before Taggart got there and got them bowl eligible at 7-5
I mean I just flat out disagree. The man can coach. Disagree with tactics and decisions but calling him a terrible coach is just ignoring facts. FSU had a lot of spoiled athletes under Jimbo same as Texas had before Strong got there. I agree that neither guy has met expectations once they were hired but terrible coach? No.

I said well before the game that I thought Briles was risky.... not because he is a bad coach but because Taggart just hired the guy that might wirk against him to get the job! Look at first half vs Boise! Briles has offense and fanbase fired up scoring at will.... Then 2nd half comes and they completely shut down. Boise defense is good but cmon, you dont start a game like that and then completely disappear.... But Briles hasnt had to answer for ANYTHING because it was obvious whose head would roll.

Im not a Taggart apologist... and im not excusing the loss... last years FSU team was just flat out terrible and I understand frustration from fanbase and bettors.... That excuse of weather and dehydration was a head-scratcher.... but FSU had bigger problems before Taggart got there and he certainly isnt the reason they were there

Id love to hear your opinion of Briles if you feel Taggart is that bad of a guy.... because in my book, the entire Briles coaching family are scumbags who will do anything to get a job and win a game. I wouldnt put it past him for a second to sabotage that Boise 2nd half on purpose for THIS EXACT REACTION from fans

I don't think that's physically possible. You may get used to it aqnd learn to accept it, and unless you're an idiot you will find some tactics to help yourself get through it, but your body's not going to change in response to the humidity.
