Wow, Vols getting +27.5 vs Oregon Ducks!?

Think it will be a good middle. Tenn +28.5, Ducks teased down.

I'm not understanding what people see in Tennessee to make them believe anything under 5 TDs is "too many points" in this game...

What am I missing?  Oregon is a juggernaut who would love to lay 50 on an SEC team, and they can easily do it... Tennessee is a garbage football team...

28 isn't enough... 35 isn't enough!

If the line goes over 28, Tennessee is the play. But in no way do I feel completely comfortable betting against this Oregon team.

Ducks first half - they have it won by then and no need to worry about a back door cover

Ducks can win this by 28+ if they want to.  But Vols will score.  Hard for UO's D to say fresh all game when they are on the field so much.  


Haven't seen Tennessee play this year, so not sure if they have the skills to keep this within 28.  For me, at 27.5 or less, lay the points. Anything higher than that, probably a pass.  Either way, sit back and enjOy the shOw.

Really easy for Tenn to get a backdoor cover, they can and will score in this game.

Very easy for a team up 30 to pull starters leading to easy back door if the spread is 28

And Oregon's 2nd string isn't a bunch of scrubs they'll score some on their own taking advantage of their time on the field so you don't have to worry too much about the backdoor cover with Oregon in my experience.

The thing is that the Ducks ARE NOT hitting on all cylinders right now.

There were several dropped passed on Saturday, more than a few 3 and Outs and some curious play calling where Frost consecutively dialed up 3-4 runs up the middle....surely trying to establish DAT btwn the tackles....which is not his game.

I'm comfortable laying 26+ as I think they will have worked out the kinks at home.

Also, don't discount the "run it up on the SEC factor".

Tennessee physically beat the crap out  of WKU players and then made halftime adjustments and only allowed 7 pts.  So I wouldn't act like Tennessee got lucky or something last week.

Tennessee can't stop Oregon, because who can? Stanford maybe in the whole nation? IDK what I'm going to do yet on this game.

sure they make some mistakes and got the hell penalized out of themselves in the virginia game. Defense was firing on all cylinders pretty much all game now allowing only 6.5 ppg. 2nd in the nation in scoring and 3rd in rushing yards. Sure they havent played the best teams but its not hard to see what this team is capable of. Yes you could argue the offense sputtered at times but it didn't take long for them to get going.

Think of it this way,.. ORE had 119 penalty yards to VIRG's 45, was only 3 for 10 on 3rd down, 0/2 on 4th down, mariotta only had a 50% completion rate but was a good manager by not giving up any interceptions and Oregon still put up 59 points

Nice opportunity for Oregon to show TN/SEC what it can do. TN plays Alabama in late October. If Oregon wins 63-14, it will get noticed throughout the southland, and fans will want to compare scores of the two titans vs a mediocre UT team. Could influence some voting precincts.

Very true. Look at what happened with OkSt last week. The thing is Oregon has a talented second and third string QB as well as RB Thomas Tyner. 1st game, second string O put up 21 points...2nd game they put up 17. Last week was the first glimpse at Thomas Tyner who had 51yds on 4 ATT with 2 TDs. Oregon will continue scoring with or without their first string in.

There is a reason for that line. Don't be afraid, Oregon rolls, just there is so much more on the table that I feel is a better play.
