You have to have the best info if you want to win in this business. All the big boys in Vegas and offshores had Navy +3.
I tend not to believe that things are "fixed", but last nights scene does call it into question. there is absolutely no reason to not kick the FG there. You have held the other team in check most of the game, you go up by a 5 points, and even if Navy does manage to score a TD, you need only another FG to regain lead (or tie if Navy were to go for 2 after said TD).
I had only a little skin in the game, so no big deal, but I am curious to know how it could occur. Could someone (Mafia/Casino honchos) somehow make contact with a coach during the game? Could a text be sent, or a cell phone call that might be traceable? do they pre-arrange it so that if that situation comes up, he can manage it?
I still think it is almost impossible to fix a game with so many variables in play, but man that one sure makes you go "HMMM...!!!"
On a positive note, the Middies got a Win, and I never have a problem wth supporting our troops, no matter how odd it happens. God Bless them all, and Happy Holidays to everyone.
