West Virginia and LSU will square off Saturday night at 8 under the lights in Morgantown, WV. Yes, I am a WVU graduate but I had to post this because all I have seen is love for LSU. Anyone that thinks LSU will come into Motown under the lights and walk all over WV is crazy. This is the biggest game possibly ever to be played in Morgantown with College Gameday making their first appearance.
LSU is a very good defensive squad. All the analysis I have seen is how they have played to spread offenses and the third which is WV will be easy for them. I will say this LSU is a very good defensive team possibly the best in college football this year. They are still lacking an offense which only scored 13 against wv defense last year (they scored 20 but the punt return was 7). MS State gave up 50 some points to Auburn the week before and LSU only mustered a sad 19 which included a late score. West Virginia spread offense is unlike either of the first two offenses LSU has faced. Oregon loves to run the ball MS state lives and dies by the run. WVU is a passing offense, yes WV does not run the ball well and this is one of the main reasons but it is the case. Geno Smith is best QB that no one is talking about across the country his numbers are tremendous. Geno is a better pure passing QB than what LSU has seen all year. Anyone that doesn't believe this shouldn't be betting on football anyways. The WR core at WVU is the best that LSU has seen all year also. Some may argue Oregon, but no way. Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey, Mccartney are three very dynamic WRs.
With all this being said, WVU can and will make this a game for the Mountaineer fans to remember. If LSU had an offense to go with their D it would be impossible, but they don't. WVU will show why the SEC should offer them a bid.
WV+ the points whatever 5.5 or 6...and WV ML to the bank
