They've already lost the MAC to N ILL...They seem to look good for the Little Ceasers Bowl in Detroit on boxing day...Will they really go all out for this one vs Akron?

With Toledo giving up 19 points, they appear to be a "free money" bet.
True, Akron 1-10 straight up! But Akron (4-1 ATS on the road) covers large point spreads on the road! They covered +18.5, +24, +31.5 and even covered a +18.5 in a 6-point battle at Ohio! (L 28-34).
Both defenses match up almost dead-even, and Toledo's
key RB Fluellen (ankle injury last Thursday) is questionable for Tuesday!
Must run full speed ahead with Akron with this one, win or lose! I consider this one to be a major play, with a 19+ point head start!
However, must "gear up" for the usual pain and agony with all road teams!
Have learned that many college road teams find it extremely difficult to score a sufficient amount of points to cover the point spread! Especially when they only have 7 to 10 points to work with.
And, many road teams find it impossible to stop home teams from constantly marching down the field and scoring more points! Very frustrating when we have the road team!
But will trust Akron QB Dalton Williams (3335 YDs and 25 TDs) to be more than capable of matching points with Toledo's Terrance Owens...and possibly winning this one outright!
Will try to use this major play to accumulate more ammunition, for Saturday's upcoming war against Air Force!

Well, lets see. Tol. back is hurt, will they risk his injury futher, well I don't think so unless, they may send him in in the second half if they need to. I just don't see them risking futher damage. Even though Akron has (1) win they have been very capable of winning more, they are that close. I see them covering this spread but may end up short but they can win this out right with Tol. Fluellen out of the line up. This will change the game dramatically for Toledo. That will put lots of pressure on the QB, not good changes to the offense and on the road. Akron will be up for this game at home. Pt. for me in this one. I did like the over a bunch but with Fluellen out that is out the window for now. I'm takeing the points very Large here. Now these are just my thoughts.

How's this for insight. I played high school football in Akron, IA and in 2002 we went 13-0 and won the state championship as the smallest school in our division. So my nostalgic pick of the week will be on the Zips (We were the Westerners, so I don't know which name is worse)
