Chad, you surely you don't think this is that simplistic? Now Bama may win, but CFb isn't about what happens on individual Saturdays because anything can happen with 20 year old kids involved. It's about the matchups, not the comparative games. LSU matches up MUCH better against Alabama than they did against the speed of UGA and Fla. (A "bad UGA team"? LOL)
I think this game will be tough for Bama unless Jphn Parker Wilson has a good game throwing. The LSU front 7 is strong, as is Bama's All come down to the QB performance as the runs will be all for tough yards. Tiger Stadium is one of the toughest places to play in the country. Something tells me JPW is due for one of his off days. Since LSU's QB play has been erratic also, I see a small play on LSU because this should be low scoring, and they will play with great passion against Saban on his return to Red Stick. LSU 16 Alabama 13 for one unit. Considering an under as well. GL to all.

I love over bets as well, in fact, rarely play under bets, but I would be afraid of an under on this game. Here's why:
1. Both teams like to run the ball which eats up more clock time and both have stout Front 7s which should be successful in limiting success of the running backs. This is the primary reason to worry about an over bet, they are both defensively sound (forget the UF and UGA games against them, neither has that much offensive firepower.)
2. Neither team has a lot of talent at QB. LSU is starting and rotating two inexperienced QBs, and JPW is an average QB at Alabama. On the other hand, LSU's QBs have turned the ball over some which has allowed some points, and JPW is adequate if given time to throw.
3. While it is hard to call Les Miles conservative, he has to rely more on the running game due to lack of playmakers at WR, and the inexprience at QB. Saban would be totally happy with winning 10-9 in this environment and has never been a wide open offensive coach.
Of course, a couple of big turnovers or Special Teams plays can quickly inflate the scoring so an Over is never far away. I just think there are games with more offensive upside than this one, and you may not have to sweat it until deep in the 4th quarter.

that kind of logic will get you burned more often than it will make you money... things happen more circuitously than linearly in sports... if anything that chain would encourage me to play LSU...
I wouldn't be THAT surpised to see LSU screw saban back, but i'd rather roll the die on bama to come out firing and take a lead into the halftime as they've been so good at this year.
BAMA 1st half
