everyone likes texas but i have to go the other way. longhorns had to get up for 4 massive games in a row. Has to be some hangover from the last second loss to tex tech. baylor can score points...i think they are averaging 28 a game. They should score enough to keep this one under the number,. I like the bears

I would be more worried about this game if Texas had won in Lubbock. After a three week ride as the nations darling, Texas now knows they have to win out to have any chance of......well.....anything. I'm taking texas and laying the chalk.

I never wagered on my Longhorns this season but thinking about starting now. I like the spot their in coming off a huge loss on the road dropping from #1 to #4 with still a chance to play for a national title if #1-#3 fails to finish off strong. Playing at home with the pressure of staying #1 off their minds it's back to smacking people in the mouth.
After playing all those tough teams their is no place like home to start getting back on track. I'm leaning on taking my Longhorns in the 1st half play thinking they come out firing in this one.

Hey BigDaddy! Been reading your thoughts on here for a long time and decided to start posting a few of my own. With all due respect, got to go against you on this one...
Everyone seems to think TEX is going to come out fired up and mad after their loss to TX TCH. I sort of look at it the other way, that wasn't just any loss last week, that was the kind of loss that rips out a team's heart and leaves them in a state of shock. When did TEX stop thinking about TX TCH and start focusing on BAY, who has a very dangerous QB in Griffin III? Just think there's some hangover this week that lets BAY hang around long enough to cover a big number.

Not a prob
IMHO The Texas corners although they are young they have held their own the entire season until the Tech game. T-Techs passing game was way too much for the young Texas corners too handle.
Not really saying that their coming in this one fired up mad due to the loss I feel personally they will come out firing due to the pressure being off of staying at #1. Playing this one at home coming off a loss like that IMO is a better spot for Texas I would feel differently about this one if this was on Baylor's home turf.
Texas dropped to #4 after the loss which still shows this team their is still a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel with a few obstacles but none the less still a light of hope to get back on top.
I could be way off on this as well and they do come out in this one with a hangover like you stated but I'm also banking on that besides the Tech game Texas plays well in the 1st half of games this season as well.
Good luck this weekend

Best of luck to you as well, my man! Just wanted to bring up some thoughts about BAY on what is a TEX dominated thread. They've won me some money this year and are dangerous dogs. I can understand where your coming from with the 1st half bet though. This will either be a complete blowout from the start or a surprising dogfight till the end. Once again, good luck and look forward to throwing ideas around with you in the future!

When I look at games, I always try to make a case for the underdog. Baylor has a talented big time QB in Griffin. This guy is fast and is a game changer for Baylor. It could be possible that Griffin out plays Colt in this game.
Texas on the other hand just lost a heartbreaking game with one second left. I would be very careful about their psyche at this point. Baylor is an in-state rival and will play hard. I am thinking this will get to +28 and with that kind of head start in this game should make it an easy play for me.

4 out of the top 10 are from the Big 12.Only 2 of those can make the BCS from the same conference. This is UT's 1st real shot since their Natl.Champ win.Hopefully reality has set in and a new perspective has revealed itself.Texas MUST continue to win and win big to prove they are the real deal and deserve a spot at the final table.1st half and game.

I really want to take Baylor here. Baylor has a respectable 5-3 ATS record and Texas has just gotten done playing four straight top 10, IMO, teams including that last second loss last week. However, two scores change my mind. 49-17 and 34-6. These were the two scores of Baylor's games against Ok. State and Oklahoma. If Baylor had such a poor showing against these two other top 10 teams, whats to say they'll do any better against Texas. Texas is 9th in passing, Baylor is 97th against the pass. Baylor is 31st in rushing, but Texas is 4th against the run. Can't see a point where Baylor shows up Texas. GLA

The Horns won't forget to run the ball in the first half this week like they did last week. If they had run first and thrown second, they would have never been down 19-0 to start the game. That being said........
Horns at the half minus whatever!
