You do realize they beat Georgia, not exactly "weak".
The loss to South Cacalac should actually scare Ohio St backers, as Clemson generally shut down the run game of Shaw and Davis. Granted OSU's run combo is a little more dangerous. The loss came via turnovers, which OSU's defense doesn't have the talent to replicate. Same story for the meltdown at FSU, picks and fumble returns for TDs.
Also have to think that Brent Venables will be able to devise a good gameplan for Urban's offense. He did a solid job slowing down a far far far better Urban team in the national title game for the 2008 season while at Okla.
The public is all over OSU and the line just hovers at 2.5 / 3, like Clemson to cover and win.
Where have you gone Siterbun? America turns its lonely eyes to you.

Just curious, as I'm to lazy to look it up, but the last time these 2 teams played may have been the late great Woody Hayes's last football game. Although it dates me, I remember that game. Woody actually did nothing at all that was out of the ordinary. College football needs to get another "Bo" & "Woody" rivalry going, today's coaches are so worried about paychecks. Bo and Woody would have coached for nothing, in fact they would have paid for the opportunity, they each weren't concerned what people thought of them and they didn't read the papers. They were truly unique and the loyalty that each showed to their respective schools was also unique, Texas A&M tried to lure away Bo at one time with more money than any coach at the time was being paid and it wasn't about the money. Ohio State wasn't on the schedule.
LOL....Who could forget Woody Hayes?! OOPS I'm dating myself. Good historic look.

lordzud......care to tell me who Ohio State beat?! The one decent opponent they faced...they LOST...not to mention...they had difficulties beating weak teams....toss up on this one...but if Clemson can hold them to more FG's than TD's...as they obviously won't stop OSU...they have a puncher's chance

At what point does one quit looking at the line movement before placing a bet? NOW.
OU has a couple obstacles on defense to overcome. A ready Tiger pass rush and a young Buckeye secondary namely.
But facts vs. facts. Ohio State's strength of schedule and pertinent results outclass the soft ACC schedule of Clemson in every facet, except the South Carolina game. Ohio St. covers in a time of possession massacre, that runs and passes through the Clemson D and Taj Boyd is a non factor. Urban has been around the block, so nothing fancy, fancy not needed to win this game. Time control for OU and too many 3 and outs for Clemson pays easily on the under.

Both teams really didn't face stiff competition and the ones they did they lost. Clemson to FSU & OSU to Michigan St. I feel composed to go with the under (71 in some areas), but more than likely staying away. Good luck

Not surprised to see the picks on this game split, this one could go either way. I think Ohio is the motivated team because they have been getting ripped for their schedule the past two years which challenges their 24-1 record as meaning anything. Their defense is pretty bad and Clemson will score plenty but I think the team who needs it for credibility will play harder. Over is tempting to me but a 10 TD over is a little scary to me as I think this one gets off to a slow start.
Not a big confidence play but leaning Ohio -2' just to make it more interesting to watch. GL to all, should be entertaining.

Really you wanna ask who the Buckeyes have beaten? Look at who Clemsn has beat oh yeah they havent beat any of the well coached teams they faced. Yea OSU is down a few defensive guys but thats where Urban Meyers recruiting talent will probably show up and actually might be a plus bc if they make a few plays they could give them the spark to really get them going . Urban will have them ready he doesnt want to eat any more pizza on a golf cart again.

You gotta love all the people bettin imaginary nickels in the covers forum based on all of their bogus information. Big 10 is undervalued this year and level of competition much better across the board for OSU no doubt about it Clemson failed to step up in games they couldve made statements with.Ill take Urban Meyer everyday of the week and twice on sunday. Point blank. Period.

Class? You used the word class with Ohio and Urban Liar? They may win the game, too close to be positive about, both are lucky to be playing the other because they may both be the weakest 2 teams in a BCS bowl. But with all the things that have gone on with this program and this coach, class is the wrong word.
This is in response of that MAC guy ... I am saying a classy team as how they have a class edge over Clemson, could care less about if they are CLASSY people... I am betting them , not f**cking them....

For starters don't listen to anyone that doesn't even know the players names ... It's Taj Boyd not Tosh ... And secondly ohio state didn't need receivers all year and everyone has though games on their schd. Like playing in Michigan that's the point of NCAAF ... Ohio state - a Tuddy and over is my guess ...
