Neither team consistent,like a flip of a coin!!There are to many teams with much more value.on the rotation guys.

Both defenses have been getting better as the year wears on. I like ECU to win and cover but the play is on the UNDER. It'll be a cold night in Cincy too, that won't hurt.   -   THE MYTH

Gunnar Kiel will be good enough, Cincy will have a spy on ECU..and its the playbook

Tommy Tubervilles familiarity of the "air raid" offense
he was the coach of Tech prior to going to cincy. He kept the Air Raid offense throughout his tenure there
Ruffin Mcneil (ECU coach) was the D Coordinator of Tech, and also employs the air raid offense on ECU

Everyone is gonna be talking about Ruffin's revenge for Tuberville firing him at Tech, but unfortunately this isnt a MMA fight between Tuberville and McNeil

This is ECU's real first test in the AAC, from being in C-USA. Cincy has a different level of athletes, and has recruited well even before Tubervilles time, remember UC coach since 04 have been Dantonio, Brian Kelly, Butch Jones, and Tuberville. This program is a football contender and usually get the athletes(some 4 star) that arent offered a scholarship by Ohio State, and other big 10 schools..

no one is saying this, but i expect a BLOWOUT
ECU will be over-matched
This will be another owning of McNeil by Tuberville

East Carolina - 2.5 Over Cincinnati!  + "Under" 71!

Cincinnati 3-0 vs. spread in their last 3 games...but Bearcats three wins were against teams in the bottom half of the conference! 

East Carolina 0-4 vs. spread in their last 4.  But they won three of those games straight up...and three of those losses were as hugh favorites (-27.5, -17 and -40.5)!  And last loss to Temple was in heavy winds and rain.

Pirates, who rank eighth in FBS in run defense, have held six of their opponents to fewer than 100 yards rushing.  And East Carolina has outscored its conference foes 41-0 in the fourth quarter. Believe ECU star QB more than a match for either one of CU's QBs!

"Under" is 4-0 in Bearcats last 4 Conference games!

East Carolina - 2.5 (buying down to - 2.5) Over Cincinnati!  2 Units!  

Pirates / Bearcats "Under" 71 (buying up)!  2 Units!

I like the under, but I feel that the line is higher than it should be. This makes me a little Leary to jump on the under. Am I reading too much in to this?

Very nice write up Cat.  I have to pay some attention to a man that has that much information on the coaching staffs. Also looks like ECU has at least twice as many injured warriors as Cinci. Alot of data favors ECU. I rarely trust the book lines as well. 
    You talk about the air offense which worries me a little, I was feeling the under from my research, looks like both defenses are decent. If Cinci gets the blowout do you think the under is still in play here?
