Can't see Hawaii playing Washington close here, but the season is too young to be confident on these too unknowns. I am taking the Huskies and laying the chalk. Modest play 2X, maybe just a little more.

There is no way that I can back the Huskies here. They gave up 473 passing yards to E.Washington last week and the Eagles rolled up 30 first downs as well, compared to just 14 for UW. The Huskies O was not much better as they were only able to muster 250 total yards. Washington was saved by being +4 in turnovers,I don't think that they can count on doing that every week.
Plus Hawaii' gets 2 key starters back from week 1suspensions.I don't understand this line.

I'm satisfied with the progress of OL and Runningbacks during the first game for the Warriors. These were the question marks going into the season. The defense has been lights-out the best I've ever seen at Hawaii with lots of depth at every position. Special teams is also GREATLY improved.
Next week we return to suspended starters in Middle Linebacker Aaron Brown and WR Darius Bright (6'4" 220lber).
I think Hawaii's in good shape.
good luck

Exactly, the line is really weird in my opinion as well.
The only possible reason I can come to is that Hawaii historically doesn't travel well, and the first game on the road could be a tough one. From a matchup standpoint both teams have a lot of unknowns but Washington really doesn't look that great this season.
I attended Hawaii's first game, Colorado didn't seem that great either however, the defense did play pretty solid and it seems that in typical McMackin fashion the defense will create turnovers and hopefully get some pressure to the QB.
Not sold on special teams yet, too many years of bad special teams play, even with Tomey on the sidelines, I can't remember the last time Hawaii even attempted to block a punt even if it's at the one yard line, our kicker looks like he has a really really weak leg. Offense was inconsistent at best, Moniz looks faster but he wasn't comfortable in the pocket and his accuracy was off, nevertheless he did a ton with his feet in the first game by scrambling around. Darius Bright returning is a bright spot as I think he has some real potential in the future, but I wouldn't count on him doing anything too crazy in his first game here.
Overall still love Hawaii here and think this line is off.

I think at times the Warriors still gets pegged with the team that does not travel well but in years past the Warriors have proven that you can't bet against them as easily on the road anymore.
Last week Warrior QB Moniz guided the Warriors to a victory over Colorado with his feet and not arm. If Washinton's defense struggled against E Washington last week I can only imagine how they would be able to handle a dual threat like QB Moniz.
I do like the Warriors in this one but that's coming from your amigo from Hawaii so I'm not sure how you want to take that
Aloha and good luck bro

I think Hawaii struggles in this game. With all the new faces in Hawaii i say it'll take more than 1 game before they start clicking together. Colorado rushing 4/5 guys was able to get to moniz many times but their one mistake was not keeping an eye on moniz. If Washington can do the same plus have someone on moniz....will be in trouble.

I heard UW have 16 returning starters and they are making their college debuts . .
This is true but most of last year's starters weren't that good. Offensive captain Locker and defensive captain Mason Foster are now in the NFL. I'm a UW guy and I like the warriors on the ML here.
