TN offense is very weak, primarily due to the OL. I like Iowa to win this game but the under could be the best bet. Bowls are tougher to figure but neither offense is very good. GLTA

Vols by 20+, Tennessee is flying under the radar, primarily because they are a young team and the record doesn't reflect their worth because they are in the SEC. Vols will be ready to play today, they should spank Iowa but just to say you heard it here first, wait 2 years the vols will be tough. These freshman and Sophomore starters will be veterans and they will be adding more talent along the way. Just something to remember in the coming year or two. Back to the game at hand, Jalen Heard will be tough to stop for Iowa. By the 4th Q, Iowa will not want to tackle him. And the TN Def, has been playing well. It really doesn't matter who plays QB, they will not be asked to win the game , just complete some short passes and work off play action. Even I could look good doing that...

"Iowa 26 - Tennessee 24—Tennessee returns to the bowl picture after a
three year hiatus, but not so sure the Vols should be favored. They will be
without their first-choice QB Justin Worley, whose season was cut
short after seven games due to a shoulder injury. Dual-threat soph Joshua
Dobbs (1077 YP, 61.5%, 8-5 TD-int.; 393 YR, 6 TDR) took over and started the final four games. Dobbs played well against three of the lesser teams in the
loop, engineering wins against Vandy, Kentucky and in OT at South Carolina.
That latter victory was a plus for Dobbs, who ran for one score and threw for
another in the final 1:50 of the 4th Q to bring UT back from 14-points down
and force overtime. The Vols will be without their top defensive
player the last two seasons, as sr. MLB A.J. Johnson (first-team all-SEC
LY; 425 career tackles) was suspended along with part-time starting soph CB
Michael Williams over rape allegations. The Vols have other injury issues as
well, with second-leading receiver Marquez North out with a shoulder injury
and several starters very questionable with various problems.
Iowa has covered six of its last seven bowl games as a dog, and
is 5-1 against the number in its last 6 postseason games. The Iowa defense
had to replace a trio of star LBs this season, and the transition had
some rough spots, with the Hawkeyes yielding some big games against the star
RBs it faced, but Tennessee’s 227-lb. true frosh Jalen Hurd (777 YR, 3 TDs)
isn’t yet in the class of Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon or Indiana’s Tevin
Coleman. Iowa jr. QB Jake Rudock had a good season, throwing for 2404 yds.
with a 16-5 TD-int. ratio despite losing 1½ games to injury. The receiving
corps for the Hawkeyes stepped up, with sr. WR Kevonte Martin-Marley, jr. WR
Tevaun Smith and 6-4 jr. TE Jake Duzey combining for 126 catches. RB Mark
Weisman ran for 802 yds. and scored 14 TDs, while speedy backup Jordan
Canzeri added 391 YR. The team’s best offensive player is sr. LT Brandon
Scherff, a sure NFL first-round pick.
The Hawkeye defense will have to deal with a wild card in the slippery
Dobbs, but the Vols finished 100th in the country in offense and generated
just 270 ypg in their last two outings (vs. Vandy and Missouri). Iowa’s
winning record as a dog, history of success in bowl games, and its more
experienced QB point to a Hawkeye upset.""

My play is the over in this one if any. I remember LSU vs Iowa from a few years back where LSU backers got moosed at the end of the game big time. Tennessee should win the game but I do not think they cover.
OVER for me..... GLTA

Iowa had a disappointing season, but they are very disciplined and will be up for this game. Tenn matches up well against the Hawkeyes, and will also be up for the challenge. Iowa hung with Wisconsin, I don't see why they can't hang with Tenn. Iowa wins outright.
my pick: Iowa +3

This statement is more grammatically correct than anything George Bush ever said

Would love to bet your Vols because I think they are motivated to win since they haven't been to a bowl in a while, plus would like to avoid another losing season, but the offense is just bad. Terrible OL, average RB, and erratic young QB. Their offense is 100th out of 127 and they are 122nd in sacks allowed. I do like their defense but with the stud MLB facing rape charges, they are more vulnerable. I am no Iowa fan either, they have had a disappointing year too, but Frenz is a decent coach so I think both teams show up. I am not betting either side, just think it will be lower scoring because of both teams' inconsistency on offense.
Under for me Just two units because I hate under bets GLTA
