I've read a couple of article's online, and seems to me that the people in Memphis think nothing of UAB, since most of the content is about their game against Louisville at home the week after this game. Memphis could get caught napping in this one.

memphis's rb is hurt im pretty sure and they haven't really beaten anyone. nicholls state anyone? they CAN put up some points and they'd be better off lobbing it to 6'8" carlos singleton more often than they do, but UAB has played better teams.

Just think about all of the other home dogs on Thursday night this year. They won the game straight up! It will continue especially when the public is against them.

Memphis has not won at UAB since 1999, in their 25-9 win last year
Memphis snapped a 7 game losing streak to the blazers. I don't think
home field will matter tonight, the talent difference on paper is sizeable.
Here is a UAB team that is ranked 115 out of 119 teams on D.
Giving up 466.40 ypg.
333 total plays against their D. 7 yards per play avg.
So basically they can't stop anybody and they give up drives for TDs, 21 Tds given up.
Pass D ranked 114, gives up 291 per game.
only win against d-2 alabama state.
So we have a Memphis.
Who averages 486 ypg and scores 27 a game avg.
And these numbers are not gonna hold up?
I
think Memphis turned the corner last week against Ark St on D and they
will hold UAB under their avg of 24, if you throw out the 45 they
scored against the D-2 it would be lower.
Memphis will score over 30, no doubt. Memphis has held both marshall and ark st to 17, i think the. blazers won't get more than 17 either.
Final 34-17 Memphis Memphis is a lock brother, the under is risky, but still the call.
The thing that makes the under play risky is that
Memphis could blow UAB out and get close to 40 -50 points.
But at home I think the Blazers won't quit and play hard the whole game.
This a quote from Tommy west Head man at Memphis about the UAB D.
"They've become a more of a blitz team in the last couple of weeks. They
bring a lot of people. So if they do that again and they decide that
they're going to blitz us, our passing game has to take over. So I hope
that's what they do. We're going to work really hard this week at
throwing and catching it this week. I hope we're able to throw it and
get some big plays, but we have to start making those plays."
