My name is Samuel Schatzan. For over a decade I lose my backside on picking games. I double down after wins, and continuously chase the dream. I can pick a winner like no other when given a slate of games. The problem is.... If I am bored on a Monday, and there is a televised game on Monday... Well.... I am wagering or placing on Monday.
With that being said. The degenerate's outlook is simple, is Kaaya the real deal? The thing is, it has nothing to do with that. How many is Duke going to run for? I'd estimate at least 140 and a couple of TDs. But let's take a closer look.... Miami is winging it at tackle, they have an unproven guard, and the safety net tight end is brand new. Did they develop chemistry in the offseason? Sure.... However, this is a Todd Grantham defense that will feast on the kid. I see a 3-4 defense that will look like 7 people standing in front of the 6'4" phenom. He very well could be the next best Miami QB since Ken Dorsey. Unfortunately for Miami fans he will have to wait a year or so. I don't know if Golden has that much time..........
Petrino is good to go. The scheme is key in College Football. That and momentum anyway. Schematically Petrino is a genius in CFB, and he begins his tenure in a very underrated hostile environment at Papa Johns Field. James Quick, Eli Rogers, and Gerald Christian will make people forget the Cards are missing a top round talent in Parker. Look for Louisville to spread out the undersized hype machine called Denzel Perryman and have the suspect front 4 of Miami arguing early with the highly touted Miami Secondary. Miami may have the most talented secondary in the Country but that is irrelevant when there is no pressure on the QB. Miami will look for Chickillo to generate doubles so Tyriq McCord can come off the edge and do some damage.
This one gets ugly in the 3rd.
Louisville is the pick. 38-24.

Petrino is a College Football Coaching genius. Louisville will win this game easily and put up 35 on their own. Miami will keep it close by putting up 28 on their own.
BET THE OVER!

I thought the CANES right out of the gate but I think Petrino will work his magic with the talent that he has and pull off the home opener cover and under, Happy Labor Day Weekend, heading to the bar for a Lagunitas IPA

A lot of unknowns for both teams. A lot of returning talent, but new QBs, returning injured players, coaching and scheme overhauls throw a lot of wild card into the mix. There will be a ton of eyes on this game Monday with no other games going on.
