I'm an NIU alum and have made money on NIU all year but I'm not betting on NIU in this one. I might suggest a first half bet for FSU bettors because Lynch the NIU QB seems to get rolling in the second half. Watch out for a back door cover from NIU. The talent difference here is huge. The all MAC defensive ends that NIU has are the size of SEC linebackers, FSU players will never live it down if they don't beat the crap out of lowly NIU so I don't think they are going into this game cocky.

FSU is the biggest sh*t team that was ranked as high as they were in a long time.
 Poor coaching &  underachieving players....

I've watched them all year & they're god awful. I backed them 1 game and kicked my self for it. 

NIU better show up, and I would love nothing more than NIU to win SU. 

NIU +13.5.....make me money 1 more time FSU.

     They were 3-9 ATS this year.  

FSU vs Florida:  FLORIDA ML (won $685)---which I posted 
FSU vs VT:  VT ats (won $247)- cashed
FSU vs GT: GT ats (won $180) - cashed. 

I lost ATS when they played NC STATE (lost $90).

thanks for a valid 33rd post on your account, maybe next time have some knowledge on a team, or sport before you type garbage. Living in Canada- I have the same football packages, internet, travel distance to view just as many games. I probably attended MORE (Mich x2, WV, OH ST) NCAAF games than you this year, Jack.

What about Jill? Jack says the doc thinks fl st is a dung heap but well have to wait and see if their team can go three weeks without cheating on their exams or gettin krunk in the club. Well see

gotta agree with gastown on this one.  I bought into all the ESPN analysts hyping up Florida St. every week.  Underachievers or just shitty.  Went with FSU twice this year (watched the games and couldn't stop yelling at the TV) and lost, thanks to the 3-9 ATS.  Don't think they are that great and they didn't do so well against GT.  I'll take the points ALL DAY!  I guess I'm crazy too cause I probably will bet NIU ML.

Caution on All Remaining Bowl Games!

Must use great caution on all remaining "Bowl" games.  Oklahoma State throwing footballs directly into the hands (three times) of enemy players only ten yards away...TCU fumbling footballs on two yard lines...yesterday's game of a team "fumbling" footballs twice on the ONE YARD line...and all of these teams going under the Vegas spread!

And many, many "flags" even noticed by the TV commentators as "false flags".

Can't be "sour grapes" as I've been on the winning side of a few of these "disasters".  But such actions, in bowl game after bowl game, no "accidents".  Many have noticed the same, no doubt.  Must use extreme caution on all remaining bowl games...even more so with Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Cotton Bowl!

I'm beginning to believe. If you look at the teams that FS crushed, they are awful.Murray st?Savannah St?Wake Forrest? BC? The question is the caliber of NI's opponents.I'm hope being in the Orange Bowl excites NI enough to come out swinging.

Just a surfer here. Can't remember the last time I posted anything and I am certainly not the biggest fan of Canada. " Our happy little sister to the north" as I heard John Stewart say on the Daily Show once. With that being said, Mr. Gastown, you are thee proverbial ' Bomb ' !!! Best 'in your face' response I have seen in a long time. I also agree with everything else you said. Looking at getting at least + 14.5, hopefully 15 , and juice, here in Vegas by gametime. Just trying to say that political correctness is not only absurd to begin with, it's completely out of control. I didn't write the word HAPPY in my first post. I was repeating a quote I heard on a T.V. show that I thought was pretty funny. HARMLESSLY funny. The quote wasn't 'Our HAPPY little sister to the north'. It was a 3 letter word that started with a G and ended with a Y. Let's just say the middle letter looks a lot like an A.

anyone that lays thier coins on Fl st needs to take lessons and learn from a real money maker! ME BOY! N.Ill i have locked in at +14 my bank roll has been gettin bigger and bigger this hole bowl season where i shine caus its all about the stats an the percentages never lie! check it out #11 and rising to #1 b4 this Bowl thing is over wit!!!!

In my opinion, this is the toughest game to call for the entire bowl season. The disparity in talent and schedule appears to be enormously in favor of FSU ( the eye test ).  But my numbers are strongly biased toward NIU for this game.  The NIU QB had complicated things by talking trash to the media about how NIU will run all over FSU.  Not a great strategy if you are a MAC team but maybe he knows something we don't know.  Here are the numbers
1.  Consensus - 60% at SI on FSU would indicate a moderately good play on NIU
2.  Score Predictor - Makes FSU 31 - 28 winner, well within the pointspread to make a play  on NIU
3.  Sharp / Square ML Differential - A play on NIU here.  This indicator is now 8 - 1 in bowl games including Tulsa and Clemson yesterday.
4.  CE Differential - The sharper handicappers are favoring FSU by 11% which is moderately strong.  This indicator is only at 50% for the bowl season however.

I usually make a play on the dog or pass when bowl games are involved and this game is no exception. I can make a case for NIU based on the numbers despite my reservations from the " eye test" of looking at the teams in action.  NIU 1 unit only.
