The Ducks secondary is mediocre, at best. If not for a slew of FSU turnovers (4 leading to oregon TD's) that game is far closer than the final score. Case in point: Cal lit up Oregon for huge passing yards and I fully expect Urban Meyer to draw up plays and a system to exploit a weak secondary. +7 seems like a gift to me.
Maybe you should look at the boxscores on ORE games this year

If you like Ohio St I would wait before kick off to place your bet. Squares hit these high profile games hard and they usually bet the favorite. You can probably get Ohio St +7, maybe even better, who knows. If you like Oregon they are at -6.5 at almost all books at this point, which is Tuesday. Bovada is a terrible book, but they are useful. The book is full of squares who pound the favorites week after week so this is a good book to have an account at when you are betting underdogs. For example right now they are the only book to have Ohio St at +7. But watch, the line at Bovada almost always away from the favorite before kick off. Now, on Tuesday, the line at Bovada is +7 Ohio St at -115. By kick off, if past history is any prediction, the line at Bovada will be better for a Ohio St bet.
Morale of the story.
Sharp gamblers open multiple accounts at multiple books and shop their odds. Getting your bet on your side of commonly hit numbers like 3 and 7 is a huge advantage.

Speed kills! Alabama was overrated all year, Ohio St. was underrated against them and exploited the weak secondary of Bama. Oregon is a bit soft in the secondary as well, but has an explosive offense……….. don't twist your brain in trying to figure out the spread, just bet the OVER and sit back and watch the ping pong scoring match. Hell, they very well may hit the OVER before halftime! GL all - THE Myth

Historically every time ESPN hypes one team that teams loses. I will give you a few examples. In last year's SB they said the SEA will not be able to stop DEN and SEA will not be able to score enough points to stay with DEN. You know the outcome of the game. In the previous yr's SB they said BAL had no chance against SF and you know the outcome of that game.
This yr they are saying that OSU will not be able to stop ORE and Mariota. And ORE will stop OSU and win in a blow out. They said ORE will score TD stop OSU score TD stop OSU score TD and very quickly ORE will be up 21.
History repeats itself. Look at this yr's baseball, SF won the WS on the even yrs. Believe it or not it happens. Just something to think about. If history repeats itself again OSU should be the play.

urban did the same thing on defense that saban did to teabo in 2009 against bama last week .and will have the same game plan for org.they will not allow marriota to run the football. He will have to stand tall in the pocket and beat the bucks throwing. Sims could not do it and i dont think marriota can either.

Withe the exception of MichSt. No team has scored nore than 10 pts in a quarter in the first 3 quarters vs the ORE D and or team. Does this indicate that ORE is scoring more slowly than in the past and or teams that traditionally score on the ORE D is not happening this year? IMO this is a departure of the "old" ORE shootout type of game which gives a good chance of winning and covering

Arizona scored 21 in the 3rd quarter of the first game. Cal scored 14 in each of the first 2 quarters of their game. Washiington state scored 14 in the first quarter. The only 3 top 30 scoring offenses Oregon faced all scored more then 10 in a one of the first 3 quarters.

I stand corrected, I wasnt considering the AZ loss Wash did score 14 in the first and 7 of the second was a punt return, further Wash socred a total of 13 in the second half and ORE covered a 17 point spread. My point is in the last 9 games including FSU we are seeing solid consistent D despite ORE ability to score fast they also seem to be able to slow the pace at which they score to rest there D. I watch alot fo Pac-12 and some bettors may not be aware that this wasnt a case of FSU just laying down and IMO this ORE D is fast physical and the best Ive seen ever.

Ohio State has a strong edge in the coaching dept.,man.Meyers is the best motivator in college football.Ohio State will run the ball extremely well.OSU will have no pressure on them, because they are not suppose to be there.Ohio States got speed baby!!Oregons got to worry about the wide recievers on the outside,OSU running game and that big physical QB thats under center with that cannon arm and bulldozing runs.Oregon plays that bend but dont break defense.......aint gonna work this time and believe me coach Meyers will have his team ready for that hurry up offense,I guarantee ya...COUNT ON IT!!!

Ohio St* program is cursed. After they stole the 2002 National Champion from the rightful owners, Miami, they will never win another title in any major sport. Look what happened to Greg Oden, Maurice Clarett, tattoo scandal, going 12-0 in 2013 and not being allowed to play in title game, 2 QB's going down this year, and now Jim Harbaugh coming to curbstomp them for the next decade. By far the dirtiest program full of cheaters in the NCAA and now with Urban Meyer they have the perfect leader to perpetuate the procession of criminals in Columbus as Meyer's teams always lead the NCAA in arrests every year. He's probably out there right now trying to recruit the next Aaron Hernandez.
You are a complete idiot. I love how you say they're cursed, they cheated. WTF. They're in the National Championship fool. Yea, they got dicked by the NCAA in 2013 and yes they went undefeated but they never cheated. Your a hater. If getting a tattoo and giving the store owner a jersey to hang on the wall makes you bigger, faster, or stronger your a bigger idiot than I give you credit for. Oregon is fast, and they were all the rage in 2010 also. All I heard was how fast Oregon is and how fast they play. Well my friend they got beat by The Ohio State Buckeyes 26-17 in a Rose Bowl game that wasn't as close as the score. So please go and bet all your money on Oregon so you can lose it. I will be on OSU money line. Heavy. Defense wins championships and I'm not sold on the ducks. You're a stupid little man with probably a very small penis and a lot of hatred.
P.S.
A lot of other teams have had some players become fool or get hurt also.

Yes, I'm an Oregon man who used to live in Vegas. Jeez, wish I could be there to lay the 5 1/2 points. Well, yeah-right...Mr. Oregon man! Here's the deal. Oregon's path to the conference champs was way more difficult. Note: there are 7-8 good to very good Pac 12 teams: Ore, USC, Ariz. U, ASU, UCLA, Utah, and to a lesser degree Stan and Wash. Big 10-maybe 4: OSU, Wisc, MSU, and possibly Nebr. Then, look after the Az. loss, Oregon has ripped through the schedule aided by a much improved defense. So any comparison in off-def statistics has to greatly weighted in Oregon's favor. For example, both teams have strong rushing stats, but Ore had to run through the PAC-12, not the much weaker BIG 10. Then two games (OSU) does not a great quarterback make (still with great consideration of the QB's performance) and he is going to be seriously challenged by the O's pass rush. But what about Wisc blow-out? More than likely a fluke. Wisc got down by 24 points with still 11 minutes to go in the second quarter, after that, it was over-regardless of the final score. But, we have to play the game...can't wait. Final: Oregon 38, OSU 17.....

Oregon's secondary might not be awesome, but it is fairly solid. But, here I believe OSU's QB will not have enough time to exploit the secondary and will be constantly rushed. If OSU is able to break down the secondary early (like two quick bombs for TD) then my analysis could be in trouble. Don't believe it will happen. Again, comparing Ore's stats to OSU is a compromised because most weeks Oregon had a better opponent.

Huh? That is some grade A homer BS if I ever heard it LOL Oregon had to run through the pac 10? the pac 10 is probably the worst power 5 conference in terms of defense. They only had 2 defenses in the top 25 in rush defense. #7 Stanford and #22 Washington. The next best rush D was flippin' pathetic Cal at #38. The only top 25 rushing team they had was Oregon at #17. the Big 10 had #1 Mich state, #3 PSU, #15 Michigan, and #23 Wisconsin rush defenses and the # 3, #8,#9, #18 and #20 rush offense. The B1G was FAR better vs the run, and for that matter overall. They had 4 out of the top 10 total defenses in the country. the Pac had ONE in the top FIFTY. Stanford LMAO
Oregon may win. But there is no way that Oregon's average Defense holds OSU's running game under 250 yards without a slew of turnovers or to 17 points. OSU scored 45 ppg in a FAR better defensive conference than the PAC, only 2.2 ppg less than Oregon.

I agree Oregon has faced better competition all year and covered huge spreads . Ohio State has looked great the last 2 games but they struggled to cover the large spread against inferior Big 10 opponents all year. I think Oregan wins by 14, good luck.

Rest assured Urban Meyer has his team prepared for Oregon's explosive up tempo offense. If he's smart, (and he is), he'll slow the speed down on fill the running lanes. His defense is capable of that.
Game then turns to half court basketball.
Oregon's defense is borderline awful.
Ducks TT under.
