Don't get me wrong, it is possible ND wins this game, whether because Utah gets starry eyed in South Bend, or because of the sucky weather. But you are living in the past if you think anyone is intimidated by playing ND thses days. Like many ND fans, you are failing to look at how irrelevant this program has become......and we are talking two decades. The players today were not even born when ND won a bowl game. Several teams have come into ND's home field and blown them away, including Navy now.
I won't say it is impossible for someone to turn the program around someday, but everal have tried now and thay aren't even in the top of the Big 10+2 at this point, much less in the top teams among the rest of the country. All the lore of teams past are just that....in the past. No one cares about Touchdown Jesus, or what SB once was. If anything, it is viewed as a chance to tell all your grandfather it wasn't all that.

57-14..that is really hillarious...from a Ute fan who is obviously delirious...please look at a little past. ND is not a particularly good team, but it is a very proud program. Yes, Navy (a split personality team) gave ND a whipping at home...but NOBODY blows ND off the field in South Bend...until they have a feel for playing in South Bend (USC for one). I cannot count how many quality teams have made a past virgin voyage to South Bend...and had the touchdown Jesus whammy all over them. It is a fact; ND stadium is a very intimidating place to play until your team has experience with it. This game is THE perfect storm coming together. 1) Utes have never been to ND, 2) ND has absolutely nothing to lose, 3) Utes didn't get beat by TCU...they got stripped of their manhood by TCU...I took Utah to win that game..and I can honestly say that it is Crystal clear that Utah is TOTALLY overrated, with a record reflective only of the poor conference they play in...and 4) check your weather forecast...SB weather is going to suck Saturday. Cold and really rainy...makes an already questionable outcome even less certain.
Don't get me wrong...my money won't be betting ND...but my money wont be betting against them either. ND coming off bye week, young QB has some level of talent...ND defense will be able to control some Ute scoring...there is no outcome that would surprise me on this game, and past lessons have taught me to stay at home on games like this....O/U with really bad midwest weather even makes the O/U uncertain. GL to all of you.

I am going to support my new friend from Nevada in predicting an Irish beat down. I don't care how badly Utah got beat last week against TCU. It happens every year. Every year all amateur bettors think this will be the year that something special will happen in that game, and then TCU opens up guns blazing. No biggie. Utah is a superior team to ND and THAT IS A FACT.
Don't criticize a person for his opinion just because you don't like it.

I hate to go against the grain but I am going to put in my .02 worth. I feel the Irish have had many distractions this year and have played a tougher schedule than Utah. The bye week has given this team a chance to regroup. Irish 27 - Utes 24 ( Irish/under the total)
