We need an additional choice added to the "report user" link in the bottom right corner of every message.
When we open the icon (circle with exclamation mark) we are given 2 choices only:
>> This content is abusive or harmful
>> This post is spam
....but there should be a 3rd choice:
>> This content is in the wrong forum/ or repetitious thread
NOTE: These two items happen frequently, where a guy makes an honest mistake and posts a college football thread in the NCAAB forum, like today. How do we report that so a correction can be made without having to go through all this effort posting a new thread in the HELP forum to report a thread that someone else posted in the wrong forum??? With only 2 choices I clicked on SPAM (rather than harmful content)...waited...and a day later my "report" was cleared and the thread is still standing in the OBVIOUS wrong forum....suggesting the investigating MOD did not view the post as "spam" so he cleared it....If there was a 3rd choice added (wrong forum/repetitious thread) the MOD would have looked specifically at that, then moved the thread appropriately (or in the case of multiple identical threads - eliminated all but one)
Likewise, it happens EVERY DAY where the identical thread is posted multiple times, clogging up the forum. I imagine this is NOT the users fault but nevertheless, a 3rd option to report seems warranted - rather than clicking on spam or harmful content - and rather than the inconvenience of creating a new thread HERE just to report what happens every single day, often multiple times!
This would seem to be a simple change in code that can easily be implemented.

We agree 100%! We are hoping to make some improvements to the reports feature - may take a little time, but it is definitely something we want to improve.

I couldn't agree more and this is definitely on our list of changes to be made. I have actually requested that we have a comment box added because in addition to your reason there are many other reasons to need to report a thread to the mods/admins.
Meanwhile feel free to create a thread in this forum when a report won't suffice and tag me and Tammy in it - we would be happy to help. That is just a temporary solution, but would work for now.

@debi
• "Let's get rolling..." errantly posted in college BASKETBALL; was intended for college FOOTBALL
• New errant thread also incorrectly posted in college BASKETBALL is "Philly -1" obviously intended for MLB

Hey - I don't see that thread, maybe someone already moved it?
I wish I had time to monitor forums, but that will be up to the moderators and some helpful members like yourself. Which is why I am trying to get the improved report feature prioritized so it is easier for all of you to use.
Meanwhile, I don't mind replying to these types of report posts and helping in that way when I can.
