The New Scoreboard Pages are Horrendous

Nothing redeemable about them. Truly don't understand it. The old ones were so simple and had everything on them. Teams, Score, SU records, ATS records, last 10 records, home and away records were displayed prominently. The logos were much bigger and colorful and made people want to visit the page.

The new ones don't even have the opening prices for spreads and totals. The logos are smaller. The team names in all caps bolded is just obnoxious. The whole scoreboard is actually bigger too and makes you scroll more and fits fewer games on mobile. And when a game has gone final, the final score is not separated enough, and you have to read the stupid text at the bottom to see who covered and whether it went over or under. The old ones took a one second glance and you easily got all the info you needed.

Probably the biggest downgrade in the site's history. What was the reason for changing? Because it was a big fail.

Just delete the website if you really wanna keep it cause most people will look for an alternative. It's so bad that you really ask yourself if the people responsible ever used the page themselves smh...

won't even get a reply from the staff.

Every year games listed in past results by team in MLB go missing, don't get posted...like 3 years in a row.

Other sites don't have this problem.

There has been about 10 threads on this and covers staff has not posted anything back to OP.

This site reminds me of our Government....everything they touch turns to ....

I deleted covers off my phone and added ESPN, much easier for scores now, covers used to be better. Not anymore.

Why in the hell would u get rid of showing what pace the over under was on? Wtf. It's been on here for 20 years. Does anyone know any other sites that have that?

ok. i tried. i really did. this is a clown show now. if you can look at the baseball scoreboard and the wnba scoreboard and tell me the wnba is better then you r just dumb.  if this is  how its gonna be for football then lol. i get it. to your credit someone admitted to me the sportsbooks were your sponsors now so its all about them. i get business. you sold out to them so they butter your bread.  now with this 1980 s scoreboard you can promote the sportsbooks in the first view.  you cant use them for live betting because they are 10 minutes behind. literally 10 years ago your scoreboards were the fastest in the business. before this last change which was a downgrade also id be watching a game live on tv and your scoreboard would beat the tape dealy on the games. i guess its only a matter of time now before one of the books  just buy s this shtty sites out for 50 bucks and puts it to bed . it was a good run. a great run for a time

In all my years using covers, I have never knce used their scoreboard function.

Flashscore has always been the #1 live scoreboard going,,,get with them or get left behind...there is absolutely no point complaining here for covers to improve their scoreboard.

Colin - I see today you have updated the MLB scores page and somehow they are even worse than football and basketball.

How can you justify removing so much info from the pages? There is literally almost nothing there now. And you can't even see the scores by inning.

Pure garbage.

these are not updates.

They're detterents that make the capper frustrated in the Baseball format.

all i think about every morning is doing extra navigating ( and having to deal with Books being thrown in our faces) to get what i already had in 1 click.

 Covers along with the sportsbooks, corporations and the govt. continue to take away every edge they can from the sports bettors.

ARE WE FREE?

All the free nations allow their players to wager at any sportsbook in the world.  Not the USA, government controls every industry.

In the free world, the real odds on sporting events are dramatically better.

Why would you do this?? Honestly, it was great the way it was. These "updates" have made things worse, not better.  I can't honestly believe that you guys aren't aware of this...who would sit down and say "Oh yea, this is better than before". That is absurd. What's the point of this? Are you intentionally trying to drive away users? Need to change it back to how it was, bc everyone will go elsewhere otherwise. It's sad to see what was a great source of info turn to complete shit.

Thank you for your continued feedback on our scoreboard products, especially regarding the recent MLB update. I'm pleased to announce that we have implemented Search and Conference filters to make it easier to find matchups without excessive scrolling. Additionally, we've added a line movement feature that will display opening odds and line movement in a modal window without requiring you to leave the page. We also have some other changes in the pipeline.

Here's what's on our roadmap:
- Trending points total and team to cover
- Reinstating opening odds in the scoreboard data

Colin - Something I don't get about the new MLB Scores pages. Take a look at this one from last night: https://www.covers.com/sports/mlb/matchups

Look at any one of the games and all the dead white space between the team name and final score that used to show the scores by inning but now is just dead wasted space. Why has the scores by inning disappeared? Anyone betting first 5 innings and looking at the scores pages doesn't get what they need.

And it's not a scraping issue because if you click on the boxscore you have the scores by inning, and they are live too!

It just makes no sense. This is such a simple fix.
