Ever since covers has an online commercial continuously running (to the right of the post) and a highly active banner at the top of the page, I have had major trouble posting. This PC is one year old. I can avoid all this on the mobile site but I prefer my PC.
My question is, why all the aggressive forms of advertising...continuously?
I can't be the only one who's PC slows down and/or becomes incompatible with the site because of these adds?
It's a real problem for some users. And users are what makes this site.
I want the Covers back where:
You could copy and post active links (why in the world was this taken away?).
The adds were at a sensible level.
Every curse word, even the word g ay isn't changed to something ridiculous. I don't use the word g ay for anything other than post about Rudy Ga y on the Kings and it gets changed to Rudy Person!
Avatars were easier to upload. What in the world are those two thick white lines above and below posted avatars?

Rather, it is most likely an external ad run through Google Adsense that is targeted towards you based on cookies stored in your browser history. We recommend clearing your cache and cookies and running some sort of ad-blocker to help speed up the loading times.
In regards to curse words, there is no place for inappropriate language in the forum community. When uploading avatar photos, selecting pictures in portrait format rather than landscape will eliminate the white lines above and below the image.

i have the same problem. i can load the website fine on my ipad but i prefer do surf on my laptop but whenever I do it slows my pc to a crawl and crashes my browser. it gets so bad i just avoid covers. i dont have problems to this extent on any other website. can someone tell me some extension i can install on firefox that helps. thanks.
