That's funny it's the exact same choices I'm faced with this week. I'm in a league where 6 make playoffs and I'm currently 7th, so this week is pretty much a must win with the guy I'm facing creeping behind me, and I'm projected to lose 102, 80.
Burleson is more of a slotty receiver, so you can't expect him get get the deep balls, but viable in the RZ. Burleson had a career day last week cuz of Revis Island. I think Calvin will probably have his way this week. Safer pick is definitely Burleson though. They paid him good money to come over this offseason, so they are using him. Keep in mind that Shaun Hill still is starting and you don't know what kind of rust he has.
I'm giving great consideration to Tate. Since I am projected to lose by so much, I need an X factor that has the possiblility of putting up 20 points. He is New Englands only deep threat, but Brady is perfectly content throwing to both TE's, Welker, and Branch. Also have good rapport with woodhead and ellis.
The thing I like is that Pitt's run defense is pretty good, so Brady will have to throw a lot. With an O/U at 46, I would imagine theyare putting up a minimum of 3 TDs each.
If you don't need to take a chance though, I wouldn't play tate. He may give you 0 or 1 point.
