Yea. I don't think it's like Cliff Lee. Me, along with everyone else, thought Lee was going to the Yankees regardless. But this situation is different because Melo seriously wants to go to NY. You can tell by the way he told the media that "I don't want to go to New York and mess up what they have going there". He laughed all the way through it.
They may not win it this year...but let the year go by where they all gain playoff experience and whatnot and then add another piece in the offseason. The problem is Wilson Chandler (who also wants to stay in NY) will get a HUGE contract and I'm sure he doesn't want to get lowballed.

Then you're probably overvaluing Holiday as compared to Udrih significantly. Of course I think I was getting the better end of the deal or I wouldn't have proposed it, but it's hardly laughable.
Udrih has been considerably more valuable than Holiday on the year. Yes, Holiday is playing better lately, but so is Udrih, and if Evans ends up sitting out for a significant period of time with his foot/ankle issues, Udrih is at worst a top 50 player, and probably better. Even with Evans playing most of the time, Udrih has been a top 20-30 player the last month. He's not as exciting as Holiday maybe, but at least at this point in their careers, he's a better fantasy player.
The Knicks are supposedly thinking about having Gallinari come off the bench when he gets back. Granted, I think he'll end up starting again pretty quickly, but he's still coming off an injury. Lowry has been very good, and Brooks and Martin aren't exactly pictures of health. Chances are Lowry will start a significant number of games going forward (he's starting tonight alongside Brooks with Martin out), and when he starts, he's pretty valuable.
Like I said, I prefer Holiday and Gallinari or I wouldn't have offered it, but it wasn't an unreasonable offer. I've certainly received and made (successfully even) worse.

Gallo is never coming off the bench. Since he's been injured...they've rotated Turiaf, Williams and Douglas in and out of the starting rotation. Clearly they have nobody who can take his spot.
Holliday has been told to shoot more and ever since...he's, well, been shooting more. Just like Calderon. Apparently, when the coaches tell a PG to shoot more, they do. The only questionable thing is all this was done with Iggy being out. Lets see what happens if Iggy gets closer to form.
Udrih has been playing better...but that's Tyreke Evans' job. This rest is nothing but great for him. He's a hot commodity now...but that probably won't last much long. He can only hope for Casspi and someone else to get traded.
Lowry will lose his job in time. He has been playing pretty mediocre of late. Brooks performance in his last start is just the start. He's going at it again tonight and the Rockets will have Brooks at 30+ minutes, Martin at 35+ minutes, and Lowry will get a big decrease. He's a good source of steals but everything else will probably decrease. Martin isn't injury riddled. He's going through a wrist injury. He won't be out too many games. As for Brooks...he's had problems but if he's healthy, he'll be taking those minutes back.

I don't disagree with much of what you said, Sparky. But the fact remains that Holiday has significant holes in his game as a fantasy player that may not get better this year even if he's shooting and scoring a lot more. Compare his FG%, FT% and turnovers to Udrih -- those are big differences. And I would also say that calling Martin a big injury risk is justified. His games played the last 3 years are 61, 56, 46, and now he's got an injured shooting wrist. Between that and Brooks' ankle issues, plus the fact that Brooks hasn't even taken back the starting job clearly yet anyway, Lowry has value.

If we're counting all PG-eligible players, I think that's pretty unlikely. And even if the Kings and Rockets go to a youth movement, Udrih and Lowry aren't guys who are likely to be fazed out.
But it's fine - we all agree the players on your end are better. We just disagree about how big the gap is, which is no big deal. I'll move on and think twice before making another offer for Holiday since I think you value him more than I do.

its ashame that a 15-24 team actually has a shot at the playoffs, the bobcats right now are 14-21 and if the season ended today them or the bucks would have the 8th playoff spot with the sixers right behind them by 1 game.. a Winning % of .400 gets u a playoff spot in the east, truly pathetic... i think it needs to be cut back to 6 playoff spots in the east.. keep battling sixers for that 8th spot u losers..

i hit with Pacers, lost with Jazz but had SanDiegoSt and Nova in college to win $190 for the night (4 plays at 100 each 3-1 for the night)

I'm having a problem with Err's. I PM'd him and emailed him about Westbrook. He got back to me a week later saying "It's going to be tough to get him". Then he never responded to my next message. Then he's shipped off to knarf. Then I message him the night he gets Love and ask him what it would take and he says the same thing and again doesn't reply to my other message. Then I send him 4 offers and he declines 3. Then I send him another (not, this is 2 days ago) and he just lets it sit there as he drops James Jones for TMac.

Don't mess with the Knicks and Bill Walker and Shawne Williams!!!
The Knicks have a contingent deal in place with the Wolves to send Anthony Randolph north in exchange for a 2011 first-round pick, according to the New York Post.
